Manual sign on treadmill?

Hello all,

My treadmill has this manual symbol showing with a hand pointing down? What does it mean? It's a Reebok gt40?

    Prsumably it just means that the user can control and adjust the speed and incline manually rather than selecting one of the pre-set programmes that automatically adjust speed and incline.

    Doesn't the "manual" tell you?
