Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dark, dry and breezy start to the day. Rain forecast off and on.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was fish - very nice it was too. Tonight will be HM chicken and mushroom pie - remembered to get the chicken out of the freezer to defrost too.
Work steady again yesterday - will see what today brings! Half day for me though, but I do have a few errands to do.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's a bit chilly this morning, though the heating will click on at 7am till 8.30am.We went out yesterday to Dobb*es and I bought some compost and another few plants to complete my winter planting, in the afternoon I did bit of ironing and general tidying. We're going to start painting the kitchen this morning, it badly needs it. There was a damp patch by the back door, and DH treated it months ago, we've just been waiting for it to dry out.I'll get some new floor covering as well, there's a good shop on our high street, we've had good sheet vinyl from them before so will look there in the next few days.We went to the quiz last night, but quite a few of the regulars weren't there. However, we met up with friends so it was a good night.Hope everyone has a good day today, take care folks.12

Morning all.You sound very busy Scarlet.Yesterday was a sort of non-day. I phoned the crossword friend, turns out his replies to my emails didn't arrive so all's well. He couldn't make for lunch so we've decided to wait for his birthday in two weeks time. I'll come down for it, he and my late Mum meant so much to each order that I want to make sure he's OK.I mooched around the furniture department of JL trying to work out if I want to put a small sofa in the newly empty spare room, or a chest drawers, or move the drawers from my bedroom or...so many other ideas swirled around my mind that I gave up. I'd like new bedside tables but can't find any that I like, some like my existing one. My new chair for that room is still being made so there's no real rush. Yet!The GBBO was very strange last night, I'm not sure if I enjoyed it or not.Today I have an appointment with my solicitor to sign some more papers, then I may go to the pictures even though none of the current offering are tempting me much. I'll just see how I feel later.I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Wednesday to all.11

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Brr a nippy start. It was 5 deg earlier but the sun is now rising and we are set to reach the dizzy heights of 14 deg! I put the heating on as soon as I got up but I'll knock it back off shortly.
GERS I thought it was me! I think GBBO as a whole is a strange one this time. A bizarre collection of bakers and strange weekly themes. I think they are running out of ideas now. Nowhere near as entertaining as in the earlier days.
It's bus trip day today so a nice wine 'n dine lunch to look forward to after window shopping and poking our noses in a few charity shops. We seem in a rut with it being Skipton every time nowadays.
DD whatsapped me a copy of her new monthly fuel payment last night and she must be one of few as her payments are going down!! She had built up a large sum of credit, as have I, so maybe that has helped. Hope I am as lucky!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, fed up or worried. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning
Seems I started to celebrate too soon yesterday. Early evening my solicitor rang to say one of the buyers in the chain is having mortgage issues and can't now complete on Friday. The earliest we could do now is Tuesday next week which in itself is not a big issue but I have a horrible niggle about the interest rate news today and wonder if the chain is a house of cards. I feel for my buyer who has a holiday booked from Friday. (maybe not a wise decision when selling/buying a house) It is worrying what it seems interest rates will rise to. I can remember oh too clearly having just bought my house the 90s and the interest rates rising to 15%. Thankful I don't have a mortgage now but of course mums house sale is dependant on people who do. sigh
Today I have to make a start on sorting my house which is just so untidy and full of bags with goodness know what in. So much for nothing coming back here!
Food last night ended up as liver and mash. Not my own HM version but the dreaded ready meal. To be fair it was ok but not a patch on mine. Tonight I think will be a quick one either an omelette or a ham pasta.
So I await to see what joyous news will come my way today. Hope you all have good days x12 -

Morning all
Lovely bright day here but a chill in the air, I am still holding off putting the heating on as I am dreading the bills, but it wont be too much longer before I cave in.
We had a lovely day yesterday at the steam railway, both of my people loved it, the cafe was dissapointing though, really cheap nasty food and no sandwiches left at 12 O/C and they wouldnt make any moreso we ended up with a cheese scone (which were tasteless) and some crisps, we had a lovely look around the station and a long ride on the train, one of my clients fell asleep for an hour
we left a bit late though and got stuck in rush hour traffic and I got in later than planned but it was a really nice day.
Only the one client today as the other is still on holiday, he is due back next week, today we will go and walk around a local park which has lots of quirky things to look at, and then I may take him for a Mcflurry, this is the lad that has nothing and is so gratefull for any little thing, if we have time we might come home and make a mac cheese as this is his favoutite meal and he wants to know how to make it, although there is no chance of him making it at home as they rarely have food in let alone things like flour !
Dinner tonight will be some pork chops, wither with the mac cheese if we get chance to make it or veg rice if not.
Nels Im keeping everything crossed that the sale goes through for you xxx
Have good days all xx8 -

We signed the paperwork to put our house on the market yesterday most viewings will take place whilst we are away
Going to see some more properties early next week before we go away but like Nels I think all the interest rate issues could cause problems

Morning all, well my day didn't go as I planned yesterday as we had an emergency call from Dad because his fridge salad drawer had about 1in of water in it. As usual he sounded as he was having an asthma attack on the phone so went straight up, cleaned out the fridge, then pulled it out and checked behind it in case it was leaking, it wasn't, but I managed to squeeze in to clean the walls and floor. Finally I washed the floor and the rest of his kitchen. How you get jam smeared between the kettle and it's base is beyond me 🙄
Today it's take 3 with the caravan, I'm determined to get there but I'm having another cuppa first.
Have a good day everyone if you can.
Take care all
