2nd Job To Fit Around a 4 On 4 off Job

Hi Guys,

I work full-time, 4 on 4 off shift, 7am to 7pm moving one day forward each week, ie Mon to Thur on, Fri to Mon Off, then back On Tue to Fri

Because my days change each week, I am a bit lost to what other work I can do, does anyone else do a similar shift or have any suggestions on how to get another job on my days off? Ideally I would work 2 days extra on my days off.

I don't drive, but live near Heathrow and London.

Many thanks for any suggestions.

Potentially a supermarket or other retail business, they'll be looking for Christmas staff now / soon. Just don't underestimate how tiring it will be.

    Are you good at decorating?

The lady who decorated our stairwell works 4 on, 4 off and does decorating on her offs. We paid her £350 to strip wallpaper, prep and paint. We supplied the paint only. It took her 3 days sort of 9.30-2.30. She fits it round the school run on her off days which suited me as I had the school run to do too.

You could look into gig type work. Local food delivery (if you have a bike) could be an option if you're happy with something physical and mainly outdoors. Otherwise there are plenty of online type jobs that you can probably fit around your existing job if you have any service or creative type skills and a laptop to work on. Look at fiverr.com for some ideas. That's obviously self-employment though, which is a different kettle of fish.
