Looking to lock in a fix 6 months early just looking through the application and it states
You have 10 days after offer to reflect before committing
you will not have the right to withdraw from mortgage once it has started
Would I not be able to look elsewhere in the next few months if I take this?

Taking the offer and the mortgage starting are two different things. If you accept their offer with a view to complete in 6 months you can still apply for a different mortgage right up until you complete.1
