Should I pay to end my fix early?

    OP, I definitely wouldn't pay any ERC to switch early and wouldn't worry too much about excessive increases in rates in the next few months. As per what KS has posted, high street fixed rates are already going down a teeny bit after yesterday's bank rate announcement as it's all priced in.

    She didnt seem aware that there is info out there saying it can be done within 6 months.

    @matt1983 That sounds about right, at least based on what they've communicated about broker PTs - "From 1 December, your rate switch request will need to be within 4 months of their product expiring."
