Email is a bit unclear but I THINK I can get the next train.
E.g. Got single ticket for 1430 from london but now this train no longer goes as far as wales - it stops at swindon.
I "think" I can get the next train?

Call GWR and confirm, most advance tickets are valid on the train before or after if the train you are booked on is cancelled0
