Our credit files are clean with no issues or defaults
I have a historic issue from 2011 (repossession) - how would Halifax view this?

Is it still on your credit file? Shouldn't be after 6 years. Search 'Halifax for Intermediaries' and check their criteria for adverse credit.0

No - fell off my credit file in 2016
There is a question - have you ever had a property repossessed - with no timeframe
bankruptcy question is in the last 6 years

Question is
Has any applicant been in arrears in the last 6 years with any borrowing or ever had a property repossessed?0 -
Which kind of implies they are only interested in the last 6 years0
-
Just say no then :-)0

I would get someone to call them and ask if that should be disclosed, the wording ov have you ever implies that there is no time restriction, so if you were to answer no, then if they discovered that it should have been yes you could lose the mortgage. Much better to have someone call and say they are looking for a mortgage but had a repo in 2011, would that be a problem .Credit card debt - NIL
Home improvement secured loans 30,130/41,000 and 23,156/28,000 End 2027 and 2029
Mortgage 64,513/100,000 End Nov 2035
2022 all rolling into new mortgage + extra to finish house. 125,000 End 20360 -
I think I will just tell them, seems easier than it coming out later on
i am still struggling to see how they would find out, as there is no record of it anywhere0 -
Also - forgot to say
this has never shown on my credit files anywhere0 -
We phoned Halifax - they said to answer the question as a yes, which we will
Has anyone ever got a mortgage with Halifax with a declared repossession?0
