Instant Milk/Powdered Milk/Milk Powder

I'm probably being a bit thick but I've got a couple of recipes in front of me. One calls for milk powder, the other powdered milk and I've actually got instant milk. Are these all the same things or are they all different? :o

  • I think milk powder and powdered milk are the same thing. It should just be milk and vitamins in the ingredients list. Instant milk has other things added like sugars and vegetable oil.

I agree, I think that instant milk is analogous to coffee creamer ie not really a dehydrated dairy product. I think that milk powder and powdered milk can be used for recipes but that instant milk is just for whitening hot drinks.
