Tesco tea.

There is something different about tesco's red box tea bags. They taste weak and have a bitter after taste. I usually use boiling water, leave for 3 minutes, then add sugar and milk. I tried again an hour later, and this time I let the boiling water stand for a minute. I then poured it in the cup, and sampled the aroma. It smelled weaker. I then tasted it on its own and it was not as strong as it usually is. I then added sugar and it is definately weaker. I then poured enough milk in to colour it orange. I drank it but was not impressed. It left a bitter after taste as well. I have been brought up on tea since 1953, and have sampled many teas in the forces, and in the merchant navy. I suspect there is one tea strain in the blending that is causing this problem.
