Good morning folks. 

When I woke up the clear sky was full of twinkling stars and now it's all cloudy. I'm off to make coffee.

Yesterday I really enjoyed my huge cooked breakfast at the cafe in the marina, it was surprisingly busy for being out of season. I was so full that I didn't eat again until around 6pm. 

There was a little flurry of worry when I found a bike inside my barn. Once I came home from breakfast I called the police who removed it - I thought that it had been stolen and dumped for later collection. Turns out that it belonged to a lovely young woman who helps out on the estate. She had been told to tell me but didn't.  She had to go into town to retrieve it from the police station. I'm just so relieved. 

I watched the glitzy SCD launch show in bed and then promptly fell asleep. 

This morning I've got my booster and 'flu jags and then really must finish off clearing both upstairs rooms. The decorators will shift around the heavy stuff, I have those orange glider discs underneath the heaviest and biggest piece of furniture. 

B&G - I hope that everything is perfect for the wedding and that everyone has a great time, including you.

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.

It's fine-ish here - yesterday was a bright and breezy day, I got some washing dry.

Nothing much happening today, apart from the boiler man coming to service the boiler and gas fire.

I have a short shopping list as well.

Hope that the wedding goes well B&G, you can tell us about it tomorrow!

Morning folks and thanks GERS for starting us off.  It's another fine and mild day for us but sadly from tomorrow the cooler weather will arrive. Yesterday it was really warm in the sunshine and the washing dried in no time.  And it even got ironed the same day!

Like GERS the Strictly launch show was the highlight of last night for me. I love Strictly season. I don't as yet have a favourite but there is one who really grates on me! 

A bit of a top up shop of some fruit, veg and fridge stuff is needed today to keep me going until next week's sm delivery. I may get the bus along to the next little town as the shops I need don't involve much walking and they are also handy for the bus stop. The shopping trolley may get its first airing! This afternoon I plan on some more batch cooking for the freezer.

Morning all and thanks for the wedding wishes.

Having breakfast then will shower and drive to the venue to get ready as its about 90 mins away. Had a stressful time driving the cake over there yesterday as it was so tall I had to put it in the boot and remove the parcel shelf; could see it wobbling as I went (carefully!) around corners and it did a massive wobble as I pulled off the A10 so I did the last few miles at about 5mph with hazard warning lights flashing! The bridesmaids all thought I was very brave offering to drive it over.

Tomorrow we are hosting about 20 people in the garden so I'll be found lying down in a darkened room after that.

Morning everyone have a lovely wedding day B&G I enjoyed strictly last night love all the glitz and glamour it’s a mixed bunch but no doubt I will soon have my favourites. Well B& Q have managed to lose the two doors and the draw I am waiting for they are now coming the end of November the lads came to put my new vinyl down and the floor underneath the old one is damp and dropping to bit so 3 days next week I am getting a new floor laid I haven’t had the bill yet but it will have to be done I won’t need to diet I won’t be able to afford to eat soon with this house if someone gave me a million pounds to finish this house off I would refuse it I’m fed up of dust workmen and shuffling stuff from one room to another Aaaaaaaagh that’s me got that of my chest and now I can breathe. Must crack on I have soup to make for lunches the rest of the week chicken dinner tonight I’ve fancied one all week . I think the log burner might be lit later it’s chilly here but bright I will be sitting cosy tonight watching strictly and feeling happy with my lot I will worry about the floor next week.thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Continue to read most days but no excitement to report. Glad you had such a lovely holiday GERS

It is going to be a frugal month as have had my windows serviced.  Loss of double glazing seals on two and broken locks hinges etc to renew. The gardener is also doing extra shortly, cutting back and mending a fence.  Good thing I like lentil soup!

I was absolutely shattered last night, so I'm planning on having a very lazy day. I need to pop down to do a job for dad this morning and then it will be a quiet afternoon with my book. Also will have a chat with DD this afternoon - she's on her way back to Germany and spending 6 hours in Singapore so we'll chat while she waits for her plane back to Munich. She's had a brilliant time in Bali.
That's the Tesco van just pulled up so I'll get my shopping put away - only substitution today is finest raspberries instead of ordinary ones.

Morning all chilly but sunny the WM is whirring away so will get that out on the line in a bit back to wallpaper stripping we managed about 1 wall last week its heavy going whoever invented wood chip paper  and block paving needs shooting in my opinion. Matthews last weigh in hopefully he looks from the photos to be filling out the health visitor went yesterday and was happy with him so they just need to go to the clinic for weigh in in a couple of weeks then when he is 1  all very different to when mine were young .

Morning all

Dry and bright day here which is nice after yesterdays rain all day, I have a towel load about to finish in the wm so that can be hung out on the line.

Will do the housework after this and then get the dogs out for a nice walk this afternoon.

Pork belly strips for dinner tonight with halloumi in wraps, might do some veg rice to go with it, think I will roast off some aubergine and peppers and put in the rice.
