Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dark and wet underfoot, we have had rain in the early hours but forecast to dry up - we'll see.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner was lovely fish/fishcake/sausage, chips, mushy peas/curry sauce delivered from the lovely takeaway - special treat.
Bit of a change for the "to do" list, my car is due for MOT so booked in for a service and MOT this morning, but they couldn't give me a courtesy car so have lift arranged from the garage home to wait for car to be finished. So will mostly spend the day at home.
Keep safe and well x

Morning folks - thanks for starting us off nmlc.Yesterday I took rubbish to the tip and did a little shopping. Oh, and more suitcase unpacking, now I have to stash other things in it ready for Monday. Other than pottering around my day was quiet. Last night an old friend phoned with the good news that his wife finally saw an orthopaedic surgeon about her really bad hips and he's agreed to a piece of major surgery - one hip has totally collapsed and will need additional plates. I'm so happy as it's been a challenge to get her to even see a surgeon privately. She was very resistant but has been on the NHS list for nearly four years with no hope of being seen in the near future.Today I'm going for breakfast to a wee place by the marina, a treat before I start some serious fat decluttering. Time to take my own health more seriously!
TA - I hope that you all had a great time.Poppy - how are you?
Marie - how are you too?
Are the two new DGS's gaining weight?Hugs to all. Happy Friday too.10 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. A glorious start here with sunshine forecast all day. Then it's downhill next week with the temps dropping.
My Fair Lady was absolutely wonderful and if anyone gets the chance to see it on it's tour of the UK go for it. As our tickets were complimentary we expected to be up in the Gods somewhere but not so! We had seats in the stalls which would have cost £62 each! It was 10.30 before we got the car on the road afterwards and then the drive home meant we all had a very late night. A shame DD had to be up for an early shift and the girls for school so no doubt an early night for them all tonight.
I have the dubious pleasure of the Friday Tidy and, in view of the good forecast, I might strip the bed and get all the bedding out on the line.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies or fed up. B & G I hope all goes well for the wedding tomorrow and COXY I hope the weather keeps fine for your marathon trek. NELS I hope you manage a nice relaxing w/e after all your to-ing and fro-ing to Wigan. Have a good day folks if you can and stay safe xx

Morning everyone bright today but chilly that made me chuckle Gers fat decluttering join the gang .last day of the week thankfully I spoke to the boss yesterday and said we can’t keep this pace of work up I’m not happy about taking paracetamol just to have to do my job it’s back breaking and getting to the stage where we can’t constantly lift all this heavy stuff I got no joy but at least they have been told he then said I have carried six bags of towels upstairs and filled the washers with them to which I replied as long as you carry six bags back down so that I can put them with the bedding because I am not running up and down stairs carrying heavy bags as well he did bring them down eventually after many dropped hints but I wasn’t giving in anyway enough of my moaning I am going to prepare some veg for tonight before they come to lay my kitchen vinyl hopefully.thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning all raining here and a bit miserable but hey ho we are in Autumn . The man came to repair the stone chip in my windscreen and warned me that as he had to put pressure on it it may give which it promptly did so i am now awaiting a call for a replacement screen . I will be doing the friday clean later and we are continuing with the paper stripping in the dinning room over the weekend especially when we realised some old wood chip paper had been plastered over .
B& G Enjoy the wedding
Nels take care its going to be an emotional roller coaster as this chapter comes to a close with the house
Izzy Well done on taking a stand
Right have a good day one and all stay safe and dry whatever you are up to xx

Hi everyone,
Stick to your guns Izzy, it sounds as if they are taking advantage of you.
TA, I love the old musicals and turned both Laura and Chris into fans. Chris has indoctrinated Crystal but Brian isn't a fan, but then I'm not a fan of the techno "music" he likes. Esben is well on his way, he likes watching "Make em Laugh" from Singin' in the Rain and is obsessed by the Greatest Showman atm.
L & E have gone down to London to meet friends so we shall have a quiet day. I want to get some sewing done, I would have liked to go across to see Nate but Steve still has his cold so I won't go. His hip scan showed no problems and he was a month old yesterday.
Have a good day.

Morning all
Pouring with rain here and set in for the whole day, I need to take the dogs out this morning so it will be boots and a rain coat and two very soggy dogs !
Going to do some invoicing later in the hope of being paid next week, the payment system seems very slap dash, I think this month may be a struggle as it seems to take weeks to get any money, my FIL has said I can borrow some money if needs be so I might have to if they dont get themselves in gear !
Southern coated chicken for dinner tonight with hm chips and coleslaw. I have put a wash on this morning but it will have to go on the airer today.
Have good days all xx9 -
Morning
Gorgeous day again but so cold this morning. May be time to think of the warmer duvet.
Exciting plan today to head to the bank! When I sold my car a three years ago he paid in cash £20 notes to be exact which I kept at the house to pay for taxis and gardener. Anyway its mostly gone now but still a good few left. I also got a cheque for some compensation for the car being sold as an eco model when it clearly wasn't. Anyway the £20s need swopping as they will be useless as of next Friday and the cheque needs paying in. Worth having a look around to see if your 20 quids are the new ones. My bank is in the middle of a big pedestrian bit so a fair bit to walk when I get out a cab. Me and walking distance don't go together so not looking forward to it but needs must.
Yesterdays paperwork day was less successful. A couple insisted on the POA documents first. The worst was HMRC A very rude man who yawned all the way through the call and told me I couldn't pay the balance on her account as they needed the POA. Funny really I doubt many spammers attempt to pay money! So they can wait now too many other things to do this week.
Anyway better get a shuffle on and if you don't hear from me again the walk finished me off!
Enjoy your days x8 -
Morning -just! Gorgeous day today. I've been finishing off a load of typing for DH, still a bit more admin to do but broke it up by making stilton & broccoli soup for our lunch, and Italian meatballs in the sc for tea. That will probably be late as we have to pick up DGS from school and then go over with him to DS2s with DGDs presents giving for her birthday, she'll be busy next week on her actual birthday, and activities over the weekend.Nelski- hope your trek to the bank is ok-take care!....and everyone else too x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
