Ecoegg laundry products

Bagged at local car boot sale last weekend - two Ecoegg products all boxed and complete. These were on two totally different stalls and were bought out of curiosity really.

At home they turned out to be for 864 and 720 washes respectively at a cost of £2 and 50p. Based on the 3 washes I do a week that is 10 years of washing product which is totally environmentally friendly. It would pay to familiarise yourself with the packaging if you go to car boots or charity shops so you know what to look out for!

Been using Ecoegg since the end of last year. I use a low temperature quick wash programme as there's nothing to rinse out, so it simply washes (or whatever they do) for the whole 30-35 minutes.

It fine for darks but the whites can come out a bit grey so I bung an egg-cupful of powder in with them. I'm still on the 1st pack of balls which was supposed to do 70 washes. I kept a tally up to 60 then gave up, probably done 120+ washes by now. Think the short washes have made it last so long.

The odd stain has been left (ketchup dribbles on T-shirt etc) but I rub a bit of washing up liquid on it and shove it in again with the next load.

I'd say it's fine for sweaty or slightly soiled clothes, but I don't reckon it'd be up to the job if you have a cricketer in the family with grass-stained trousers every week.
