Have just had an email from Octopus stating that from 20th Sept my export tariff will go up from 7.5p to 15p per kw

A general question about export tariffs.
Must your supply come from the same company as the one you export to or if you are on a decent current fix can you export to Octopus?
Thanks.

You can export to a different company, but you often find that the rates offered are lower if you are not also importing from them.
I think Octopus only offer 4.1p if you don't get your supply from them too.Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Thanks for your reply. As I’m paying less than 19p until next August, it looks like I can remove export tariffs from any initial financial consideration. 15p in and <19p would have been sweet for a few months ….
Thanks again.
