hi I would like some advice on my solar panels and battery which I had fitted by Zanussi solar a couple of years ago they set me up with a energy company who I thought were using the excess to supply the grid but then went under OFGEM passed me to British gas and I am still working at getting a solar contract up with them they say " As per central data base(Ecoes) your MSN is 19------4.
And Please contact installer to notify DNO or provide ENQ ref number " I have been in contact with Zanussi before but now I have requested this info they are not answering my emails. I spoke to a rep and he mentioned miss selling then hung up. I just want them working and what I am owed.

Do you have an MCS certificate? That's the first step and your installer should have provided one shortly after installation.
If it's since 2019 you will probably also need a G98 or G83/2 if it's older than that Do you have one? It should have been provided when the system was installed.
How large is your system? I'm assuming its 4kW or smaller?8kW (4kW WNW, 4kW SSE) 6kW inverter. 6.5kWh battery.1 -
yes I have a certificate and yes 4kw, I think there is 14 panels at 0.33 per panel but British gas know all this and my meter shows how much I have exported. cheers for the response.

That's good, the MCS bit is the important part. That shows your system is safe and connected properly.
Then the next step is to find the DNO details. If you do not have the DNO response letter then contact your DNO for help. Your DNO is shown on your energy statement and the relevant process and contact information for each DNO is:
- Western Power Distribution WPD https://www.westernpower.co.uk/connections-landing/connecting-generation-or-energy-storage/get-connected
- UK Power Networks UKPN https://www.ukpowernetworks.co.uk/electricity/distribution-energy-resources#G98
- Scottish Power Energy Networks SPEN https://www.spenergynetworks.co.uk/pages/distributed_generation.aspx
- Scottish & Southern Energy Networks SSEN https://www.ssen.co.uk/GenerationConnectionsHome/
- Northern Powergrid https://www.northernpowergrid.com/get-connected/connecting-generation-g98-g99
- Electricity North West https://www.enwl.co.uk/get-connected/apply-for-a-new-connection/generation-connection/
Please email seg@octopus.energy if you need more help. From Octopus's form for switching SEG to them.
Drop them an email or a call and explain that you can't find your DNO enquiry details or certificate.
For what it's worth I'd go for Octopus for your SEG over British Gas, you can have a different SEG company to the one that supplies your power.
They do a lot of SEG, so should be better at handling it, and have a better rate than British Gas (4.1p compared to 3.4p). They have an even better rate (15p!) if you switch your electricity supply to them as well but for now just the SEG is better.8kW (4kW WNW, 4kW SSE) 6kW inverter. 6.5kWh battery.1 -
