Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dark and dry underfoot. Wash load ready to peg out shortly.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Yesterday I cooked an all day breakfast, then hot new potatoes, salad and cold meats etc for 5.40pm ish - all enjoyed.
Back to work today - I'll see how things have been left for this morning!. It's likely to be a busy day as it always is after a Bank holiday.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's still dark, but seems to be a dry morning.Yesterday I spent most of the day in front of the TV, like most of us probably. I visited ans elderly housebound friend, and stayed for the morning watching the Queen's funeral with her, then continued when I got home.I'll have to catch up today, hardly anything was done yesterday.Hope everyone is ok and has a good day todayTake care folks.9

Morning folks. My day was spent in front of the TV too. The funeral was spectacular and mesmerising, that long walk in Windsor was astounding, watching so many older people marching slowly for about an hour is something I won't forget for years. Hats off to them all.Overnight my gut went into overdrive again so I'll probably go out to see the pharmacist this morning for some advice. Apart from that I'll only be doing a little light unpacking.Hugs to everyone, happy Tuesday to all.10

Morning
Another one with square eyes after a marathon yesterday. My lasting memory will be those young lads who carried the queen at every step from Scotland to Windsor. Most impressive was Windsor when they carried her up so many steps. I bet most people had their heart in their mouths at that point. They deserve medals for that.
Back to normality today it's strange to see the news presenters back wearing colour.
Normality for me will be heading to Wigan where, fingers crossed they turn up, the house clearance people are in. I need to sort some last bits to bring home as Im hoping there will be just a couple more visits. I can't stay anymore obviously so Ive kept back a bedroom chair which I will donate to the buyer but will do for me for short periods
Gers hope you can get the tummy bug sorted
Ruby how's big pup?
Have a good day all

morning folks and thanks NMLC. After 2 cloudy days we have bits of blue sky emerging and the sun is trying to get out over the moors. I live in hope of a brighter day.
After spending 2 whole days slumped on the sofa watching all the pre-funeral programmes and then the funeral itself I need to get out somewhere today for a bit of fresh air. But didn't it make you feel proud to be British - I know it's often said but no-one puts on anything like us do they, whatever the occasion, Be it a happy one or a sad one like yesterday.
I need to empty the dw (too weary after all the tv watching to do it last night!), give the downstairs a quick vacc round and then go down on the first bus us oldies can use and see where I end up. Maybe the little town along the valley bottom.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies or fed up. RUBY I hope there has been some improvement with poorly doggie or you have managed to get an appointment with a vet. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -

Morning all.
Another one who watched all the coverage yesterday. The Windsor part was just as impressive to me and we're making plans to take DSiL there next month, before she flies back. DS was watching on the screens in Hyde Park and we think we saw his back view in one of the camera shots.
On the wedding front all the 72 bags have been filled by tipping the dried stuff into a bowl and spooning it in. Today I'm meeting DD at the shops for a few last minute purchases before having my nails done. DH is taking his sister to sort out a few things, including a SIM card as her Aussie provider doesn't give her any coverage over here, as we found out when she messaged me from Heathrow and then immediately walked in the front door!
Yesterday's lasagne was lovely and all I did differently was to use one of those stock pot things instead of my usual crumbled Oxo. I have one portion in a tub for DGS and will probably freeze the remainder for another day.
Off to start my day. Hope it goes well for everyone.11 -
Morning all, and thanks for the start nmlc x
Agree with others that yesterday was an amazing send off for our dear Queen. Hats off to the soldiers carrying the coffin - such an honour for them and their parents.
We managed to drop DS2 at uni - couldn't fit a waffer-thin mint in the car as he wanted his GF to come too. A few extra tears from her as DH managed to run over her foot in the car (impatient numpty). Only a tiny wall cupboard left in the kitchen as the 3 girls he's sharing with have two cupboards and two drawers each! Clearly need to sort that out at some point. 2 other lads in his flat but we didn't seem them. He was off to a silent disco last night and has some fresher week activities this week. It helps that a few of DD's friends are going into 3rd year there, so some familiar faces at least. Hope your DGD settles well @TravellingAbuela x
WFH today and we have carpet fitters in DS2's room, so the entire contents are strewn about the upstairs in our room, spare room and landing. We will move it all back in later. Spare room being done tomorrow. We have our large sofa and armchair being collected by the council tomorrow, so need to get those out onto the drive tonight - that will please the neighbours no end...
I have a few errands to run at lunchtime, including returning a library book and getting a couple of bits for my next stretch of my JoGLE walk which starts on Thursday. We are off to Glasgow overnight then walking Glasgow to Gretna Green over 8 days.
Dinner tonight is a quick SW carbonara.
Hope all goes well with the house clearance folk @Nelski
Get well soon @Gers
Hope poorly pup is better today @RedRuby1231
Good luck with WW @IzzyBee
Have good days all,

Morning all
I sat down to watch an hour of the funeral yesterday and was mesmerised by it all, I watched it off and on all day, it was a lovely send off and those lads carrying the queens coffin did so well, it bought a lump to my throat.
We took big pup to the vets yesterday, they think she has done some muscle damage, so she is on paracetamol and metacam, she seems so much more comfortable bless her, she had not been for a wee for about 24 hours and did the longest one when we came back from the vets, its good to know everything is working ok bless her.
Got two clients coming today, we are off to the open air museum for a walk around, we will take a picnic lunch with us so a free day out as they are members.
Spag bol for dinner tonight nice and quick, I have emptied the dw this morning and will have a quick tidy before my clients come.
Nels I hope the house clearance people come, speak later xxx
Have good days all xxx7 -
Good morning everyone
Like everyone else I spent most of my day in front of the TV. I thought it was magnificent....and an amazing send off for the Queen. I hope the royals get some time to themselves now away from the cameras.
I'm not at work till lunch time - some jobs to do this morning but nothing too strenuous.
Dull and drizzly here this morning
Hope everyone has a good day x

Hi everyone,
I watched the Abbey service but then we switched off and did other things instead. Hopefully things will get back to normal now,
Steve's gone to play golf, Brian's gone to work and Esben will be going to nursery soon so I'll be able to get on with some sewing but I need to get some groceries for the week this morning. I made a courgette bake yesterday - an Anna Jones recipe, it was very tasty but had so much cheese, mozzarella, ricotta and parmesan, I don't think I'll be making it again.
I want to make an apple cake today, we still have a lot of apples to use up and my freezer is full, every time I use something it's replaced by something else.
Nelski, fingers crossed the clearance people turn up.
Ruby, that's a relief, I was worried about the pup.
Gers, I hope the pharmacist can sort you out, my itchy neck rash seems to have been sorted by the cream I was given.
Have a good day.
