Hi
looking for advice.
My son applied for his 1st job, had an interview and got accepted by Mcdonald's 12 days ago

Since then he has heard nothing, he has done all their online training, but hasn't had any contact from the restaurant with a start date.
he phoned 2 days ago and spoke to someone who said they would get the person responsible to send the shifts out to him.
They still haven't

he has withdrawn 3 jobs that he could have gone for because she had employment confirmed with Mcdonalds and he is feeling rather anxious

Is this how they operate, no communication?

  • It's probably just an individual store thing, my niece and nephew both started working at different mcdonalds branches and the only issue was getting the uniform in the right size for my niece.

I'd just keep trying to get in touch. The person on the phone probably forgot to pass the message on.
  • Could she go to the store and ask to speak to the manager in person? It's a lot harder to ignore someone if they're standing in front of you rather than at the end of a phone or on email.
  • I have suggested it to her.
I'm pretty disgusted with them, to take someone on and then not contact them with a start date or anything.
It's her first ever job, she's desperate for money.

I feel like telling them to shove their job up their @**e to do this to youngsters
