Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dark and dry underfoot. Wash load ready to peg out shortly.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was fish, jacket potato/rice, salad or beans and cheese. Not sure about tonight's dinner but food shopping this morning.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLCThe sky is lightening a bit here, and it seems to be dry out there.Congratulations to your DS and his Gf on their engagement Coxy, that's a nice bit of news.I wonder if you're home yet Gers, hope you are all right.I didn't go to Dun*lm yesterday , or tidy the garden. I tidied the house and we went over to the caravan to pack up the tinned food, biscuits, tea and coffee that we leave in over the summer. I can use them at home. Also sorted my clothes out a bit, I seem to do that often - sometimes I can't remember where I've put things.Glad you enjoyed your caravan break TA.Hope the kitchen is coming along all right Izzy.Might get to Du*elm today, and I'm visiting a friend tonight, that's about it really.Hope everyone else has a goiod day, take care folks.9

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Blimey autumn is definitely here. My bed socks were out last night and the bedroom window was starting to steam up when I pulled the curtains back. I think it's time to sort out the winter clothes now!
A bit of a dust and vacc round is on the agenda for today. There are lots of sad looking plants to cut back outside too if I feel up to making a start on them later. The garden wheelie is out for collection this morning so there will be plenty of room in there when they have been.
BFF finished her treatment 2 weeks ago and is jetting off on holiday today. The long postponed family trip that was put on hold when she found the lump. The insurance is costing an arm and a leg but she says it's worth it after the long summer of chemo sessions she has had.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies or fed up. I hope GERS is now back with us and sleeping her jetlag off. Take care all and stay safe xx

Morning all. Definitely colder this morning and a feel of Autumn in the air.
Did a Video call with Sydney yesterday and discussed any travel queries DSiL might have before flying over at the weekend. I've told her she can doze off watching the funeral with a bacon sandwich in front of the tv. I think DH would quite like to go to the Lying in State but can't face the 8 hr queue; he's quite fascinated by the livestreaming of it on tv. DS has just found out he's been given Monday off, to his surprise.
Ironing has been done and the fans have been put away in the loft until next summer. Next I need to make a shopping list and maybe make a cake or some biscuits for the tin. We're having a Thai green curry tonight as we've plenty of chicken and I've just found a jar of green curry sauce in the cupboard. I usually make it from scratch so will see what this one tastes like.
About to put a load of laundry in and then have another cup of tea.
Have a good day everyone.9 -
Morning everyone, and thanks for the start nmlc x
Very chilly here this morning. Have washed DS2s uniform as he has his final golden arches shift tonight. Will be working in the Christmas and Easter hols though, which will give him some cash for uni. I am working until lunchtime then going to join the queue for the lying-in-state with BFF. It's currently 11 hours long so lord knows what time I will get home. FC is 9am tomorrow morning so maybe I'll go straight there (not even joking). We had a lovely meal last night and I'm still stuffed, so will take fruit snacks and water with me for the queue.
Thanks for all the well wishes for DS1 and DF(!) - not sure where or when the wedding might be, but not anytime soon I shouldn't think.
DH and DD will have salmon tonight with veg. I will eat on the go...
Hope you are home safely @Gers, can't imagine what time it is in your world, but get some rest x
Great that your BFF is off on her holidays @TravellingAbuela - what a wonderful way to celebrate the end of her treatment x
Have a good day all
Coxy

Morning everyone Gers don’t know if your still in the land of nod but I hope you are home safely and not feeling the cold to much TA I think your BFF has done exactly the right thing I hope she has a lovely holiday.it’s so chilly here I can cope through the day but when I sit down on a night I’m shivering the fleece blanket is out for me and the dog to snuggle under I can see the log burner been lit for strictly starting not at work until 12 that gives me time to prep bolognase for tonight then it’s just to heat through when I get in . He never came to measure my kitchen floor yesterday got a message to say he is coming today I hate been messed about I have had him before he laid all the carpets in my last house and this one he’s very good at his job but he takes some chasing about. I got all my towels and some bedding washed at work yesterday I will take the rest of my bedding and a load of washing in today it saves me a lot of time and money if I can manage to get them done there we can only do them if we have available machines and it’s quieter in the winter so i usually manage to get my bedding and towels done most weeks which is a good help .thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing7

Morning all, yes definitely autumn has arrived, 7 deg here. I'm going to pop into town on the bus in a bit. I've seen a long hooded cardigan that I think might be a useful buy. I can look at the local tributes to the Queen too. Coxy good luck in your queuing.TA I hope your friend has a fab holiday after all her treatment this year.I've vac packed most of my summer clothes, & got rid of some in a charity bag this week. I've also taken in some of my winter clothes that are now too big, yayRight better get myself ready, take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning folks.I'm finally back in the Bonny Land. 🎉 My plane landed in Glasgow at 12.30'sh, my 4.00pm I was having a snooze, woke to eat something but didn't. By 7.00 pm I was back in bed and slept for nearly 12 hours. 😀 Shortly I'll be leaving Alan's place for the drive home. I'm sure I'll sleep more so unpacking won't be high on my agenda today.Coxy - I'm impressed with you going to the lying in state. I've been watching the live stream which is very moving. I hope you don't have to wait 11 hours.I haven't really caught up with the news here even though I've been reading. I'll do that over the weekend. So, for now, I wish everyone a happy Friday. 🙋♀️7

Morning all
Bright day here but chilly, I got under the quilt last night for the first time for ages, It will probably get very warm later as it did yesterday afternoon but then cooler in the evening.
Off to get my nails done this morning, I love my nail lady we get on so well, we are often screaming with laughter, its good for the soul !
DW has been emptied this morning and I have put a wash on, will have a quick tidy round before I go out, once back I will take the dogs out and have a rest this afternoon.
Gers I bet you cant wait to be back in your lovely home xx
TA Im so pleased your friend has managed to get away it will do her the world of good xx
Coxy congratulations to your ds and his gf, and good luck with all that queuing !
Have good days all and take care xxx7 -
Morning All
Welcome home Gers, you'll be glad to get back to your own bed.
Hope your friend has a great holiday TA, she deserves it.
Happy queuing Coxy. I would like to go but it's a bit far. The TV coverage has been so comforting and considerate and strangely compelling.
Gorgeous day here again but there's definitely a nip in the air. I'm home again but doing what I can on the laptop, seems that we can't actually have a sick day any more since we've all been given laptops.
Bedding is on the line, I've also washed the summer quilt to put away for the winter, the heavier quilt has gone on so I'll probably be too hot tonight!
I sat in the sunshine yesterday and strung up the onions, there should be more than enough to see me through the winter and will share them with DD. I've made a ratatouille this morning with the left over courgettes, onions and some of the thousands of tomatoes that all seem to have ripened at the same time, it's now in the freezer.
Right, off for a nap, enjoy Friday. Take care. XX7 -
My drive home was Glasgow was uncomplicated and very sunny even though the wind is chilly. I stopped for some shopping to see me past Monday. Thanks everyone. 💕8
