Anyone else noticed the quality of the fruit in Aldi is poor?
I've been using Aldi for years and love most of the products but the last few times I've bought fruit I've been really disappointed. Vegetables are fine
Luckily I've got a local greengrocer!

Never had a problem. I have carrotts in my fridge for a couple of months. And never really have an issue with the fruit. if I do its because I have not stored it properly and its weeks and weeks old.
Hope for everything and expect nothing!!!

Poor at both places I think and I don’t appreciate the free cup of water in every bag of carrots.3

Some of the 'wonky carrots' have been of poor quality just lately.
When I commented in store they kind of suggested wonky were just that! To which I replied that I didn't expect them to be cracked- wonky fine- but damaged- no thanks!
once or twice I have taken items back for a refund when well in date, and stored correctly too. Rocket & blueberries come to mind.
No problem giving me a replacement or money back.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

One of the main reasons for poor quality fruit & veg this year has been the very dry growing season.
Lots of poor weather in southern Spain has resulted in poor or destroyed crops of fruit & veg.

I stopped buying fruit in Aldi and Lidl because the quality was getting so bad I ended up throwing it out.1

Have had exactly the same problem so have stopped going there now.1
