Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dark and dry underfoot. Wash load ready to peg out shortly.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was LO pork with fresh gravy for DH, DS1 had chicken and rice, and I had ham and egg salad, tonight I'm not sure what we'll be having but will find something.
Last day of my working week for me, then I'm off until Tuesday next week.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC..Hope work is not too bad..It's not fully light yet, but it seems to be an ok morning, I think the forecast is good.Gers, I wonder where you are at the moment, nearly home I hope.Bella. I like your new grandson's name, it's ageless isn't it. My husband and 2 sons have the same kind of names (not that I named my husband!)Talking of babies, hope Snoozer's new GC is progressing well.I had an interesting encounter yesterday, standing waiting for dgd outside school. A man came up to me, asked if I was (name) and if I'd started grammar school in 1959. - turned out he'd been in the same class as me as first years! I remember him as a skinny ginger kid, he would remember me as a skinny blonde kid, both terrified in this enormous new school! He is white haired now, as I would be if it my hair wasn't helped along a bit. He had just collected a grandchild. We talked for quite a few minutes, it was really nice. He had recognised me even though we hadn't seen each other for nearly 60 years. Is that a good thing or a bad thing, I don't know.!I don't know what today has in store, I wouldn't mind going to Dun*lm, there are one or two things I want to look at.Hope everyone else has a good Thursday, and thoughts to those who aren't feeling too good for any reason.Take care folks.11

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. A nice but definitely cooler day forecast for us. And the mornings seem to get darker with every passing day.
SCARLET something similar happened to me a couple of years ago! I was at the front of a sm queue when I heard a voice from somewhere behind me asking if that was C J (maiden name!) at the front!! It was a boy (now elderly man!) who lived near me as a child! He said I just looked the same = ha ha I wish!
A lovely day was had in Skipton yesterday and after a dull start the sun came out. A nice lunch and wine and much talking was done. Roll on our next day out!
Two deliveries due today. Groceries to stock up the fridge and stuff for some batch cooking for the freezer .A text tells me I have no missing items!! Wow!! I need to make a pot of soup too to accompany my forthcoming lunches. And the usual chores await.
Have a good day folks if you can. Hope the poorlies are improving, the travellers nearly home and the ongoing jobs are almost finished. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning all; goodness knows why I'm up so early but I'll try to make the most of it.
Busy day yesterday at the Larder. We're now up to 70 members and it feels as though they all come in the first 15 minutes! I was doing the chilled food section so was back and forth to the fridge as people gave me their orders and all the chilled food went apart from some individual iced coffees.
After that I'd booked a 3 hour house clean with a recommended company. It was fine as a basic clean but I obviously expected too much as she only hoovered the kitchen and bathroom floors, so we'll have to get the steam mop out now and redo them. At least that's saved us a bit of time and effort and we can just do a top up clean in the week ahead.
This morning we have a video call arranged with DH's sister in Sydney to check any last minute things before she flies here on Sunday and then I'm having my hair cut after lunch.
Hope everyone's day goes well.10 -
Morning everyone, and thanks for the start nmlc x
Bit of a dull, chilly start here but hoping it will brighten up.
DS1 and GF are in Seattle visiting her DDad and they got engaged yesterday! We knew it was on the cards, just didn't know when. So pleased as they make a lovely couple. In other good news, the airline we flew to Cyprus with will be refunding us £350 pp for our very delayed flights. Didn't expect that at all but I'm not complaining! DH and I are out for dinner tonight at a very posh restaurant. This is a belated birthday meal as they were fully booked on Saturday. Think we are getting the bus there though - bit of a juxtaposition!
Hoping @Gers is having a good trip back x
Glad the arrangements for Brian's DMum went okay @Snoozer and hope your rash is improving x
@ScarletRibbons wow, I'd take that as a win!
Hope you all have a lovely day and hugs to all those struggling.

Morning all
Dry here but a bit overcast and cooler, I am waiting to see if my private client is well enough to come today, he was poorly yesterday so his mum said she will let me know, I will still get paid as its short notice so its fine either way.
We will have the hot dogs tonight for dinner as I bought an enchilada kit while shopping yesterday so we had those, they were very nice too.
I will put a wash on this morning, dd is off today so she can hang it out if it stays dry, dw has been emptied and I will have a quick tidy round before I go out.
Gers hopefully you are nearly home by now xx
Have good days all xxx8 -
Morning All
Lovely and sunny this morning, washing on the line and a towel load doing it's stuff.
I came home from work at lunchtime yesterday as I didn't feel well, having the day off to wipe my snotty nose! At least the sore throat has gone.
The chap came to spray the foam insulation yesterday, a bit of a smell in the house but not too bad. Hoping this will help to keep this cold old house a bit warmer during the winter.
Congratulations to the happy couple Coxy. Great you are getting a refund from your flights.
You've obviously not aged at all Scarlet.
Have a good day, take care. XX8 -
Morning all chilly here but they say no rain I am off to have a manicure and pedicure as we have DD2's BF wedding tomorrow she is such a lovely girl and they have been friends since primary school DD2 is matron of honour . I am hoping DD and baby had a good first night at home but i am holding off messaging in case they are all asleep we will see them tomorrow anyway.
Coxy Congratulations to DS and fiancee x
Have a good day whatever you are up to xxSlava Ukraini8 -
Hi everyone,
Congratulations to the happy couple Coxy.
This will be a brief one because the cleaner is here for the next couple of hours and I was late up so I still have to sort the kitchen. She only cleans the floor in there, does the bathrooms thoroughly and vacuums the carpets, but it's a godsend and even when the family leave I think I will be lazy and continue with that.
Probably lentil ragu baked potatoes out of the Bosh cookbook for dinner tonight.
Have a good day.9 -
Congratulations to the happy couple Coxy7
