  • I did think about my mortgage, but then I currently work from home, so wouldn't it be an extension of it? (So to speak). 
  • Please confirm before taking action, but there used to be a rule where if you spent over £2,000 in one receipt from one supplier the it was vat free and expensible.

    For ltd companies. 
    Doesn't work if deliveries from different fullfillers on Amazon but one payment transaction.

    But if you buy a laptop, monitor, office furniture from bohn hewis then maybe ok

    You appear to be referring to one of the criteria for VAT-registered business operating under flat rate scheme.  But the application of the rules is a bit more involved than you explain

    That could be it. 
    I remember that the rules were very precise but it was a bit of a find when I needed to replace everything. Saved £400. I guess may not apply to this person until they reach the VAT threshold
