7up £25 UberEats issue

Has anyone managed to redeem the voucher and use since last night? 

My sister, mum and I were all lucky enough to win one. I used mine with no issues around a week or 2 ago. 

However, tried redeeming for my mum last night and when we try to checkout, the following message appears:

‘Please contact the issuer of the voucher. There is an issue with its payment information.’

There is a card attached so that’s not the issue. The voucher is on the account and shows the £25 full value so it’s all confusing. 

Have contacted them but yet to hear back. Just wondering whether anyone else was experiencing the same thing.

    Do you have enough money on the payment card to cover the purchase?
    Looks like Uber eats places a hold on your card for the amount ordered, and then takes off from the gift card after, releasing the hold on your card

    Yep. I've used vouchers in the past so was prepared for that and knew what to expect. I also used the one I won a couple of weeks ago and it went through without any problem.

    However, I've not been able to place the order for my mum and get the error message I put in the OP.

    Still waiting to hear back, but was hoping to get an answer from someone who has won recently and successfully placed an order within the last 2 days. That way I would know whether the problem is my end or a problem with the issuance of the voucher.

    Are you trying to use your mum's voucher on the same account you used your own voucher? Apparently you can only use one per account.

    I've seen others saying they are having problems when it's the only voucher they have though.

    Nope. It won't allow you to even add another voucher to the same account let alone use it.

    I'm talking about my mum's account, voucher has been added and accepted and showing on the account, yet when it comes to making the payment, right at the end, it loads and then shows up with the error message.

    Just trying to order and getting same problems, got a credit card attached to Uber eats so got plenty of credit

    They didn’t end up responding to my email but looks like they sent a mass email apologising for the issue, so hopefully it will be sorted soon:

    We apologise if you have been unable to redeem your £25 Uber Eats voucher in the last few days.

    The issue has been escalated to the support team for resolution, and they will provide an update as soon as possible.

    it is probably costing them a lot more than they expected.
    I do it just for fun and whatever I win is a bonus
