Holiday to retirement

Im thinking of going abroad next year for a longish holiday, and if i like it over there im thinking about putting in for a retirement visa while im there..
At what point would i inform HMRC and the State Pensions of my decission to stop out of the country? Would it be the first day of obtaining my retirement visa and would they back date it to when i entered the other country even though at that point i didnt have the visa and was just on holiday.
Is there a form i could fill in online as obviously i wouldnt be coming back to the UK.

Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!1 -

I wonder if you've followed the various links (and there are lots of them!)? For example, I think this is relevant: https://www.gov.uk/state-pension-if-you-retire-abroad/report-a-change-in-your-circumstances but there are many others...and I fear you'll have to get to grips with quite a few.davez_2 said:

The point at which you tell HMRC etc is the point at which you 'move out' of the UK - i.e. when you take the decision you will not be returning and your holiday becomes the prelude to staying wherever you've gone to. So far as I'm aware they don't backdate, but not sure what difference it would make to you - presumably you are thinking about the tax position? If so, they wouldn't backdate if you change your tax residency, because your tax residency would normally date from when your new host country accepts you as 'one of theirs' - but without knowing which country you are going to, it's impossible to be sure.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!1 -
Hi I have seen that link long ago, but totally forgot about it, i will bookmark it, thanks..
The main thing i was hoping was that someone could confirm for me in this forum the best time to tell pensions. To me it would be the date i got the visa but wanted confirmation from someone who knows for sure.
Of course my question on the form to fill in (IPC BR1 NSP) was answered by your link, thanks.
It seems the next step would be to fill in a Life Certificate if asked, when im over there, need someone from the other country to counter sign that.
Appreciate your help. My memory needed a jog. Thank you.
