Afternoon / morning all.
I’m posting early because I’m up at the big house sitting in the sun. The wifi in my cabin is very erratic, it has long spells of working fine and then days (like today) when it drops out every few minutes and then won’t reconnect for ages.
My anticipated busy days have changed into quieter ones. One of the two friends who came up from Melbourne and are staying at Noosa Heads has contracted the dreaded COVID so is staying at their hotel apartment. The other friend is with her. Meanwhile my SIL’s cousin and partner are enough entertainment. The partner is Swiss and a pastry chef so the puddings are delightful.
Last night I watched the Accession live on ABC before having a lovely spinach and chicken filo pie made by the cousin, she threw everything together and it turned out to be delicious.
I’m off back to the sun lounger. My days here are coming to an end, I leave on Wednesday, so I need a bit more sunshine before then. I’m covered in SPF50 so not tanning, simply enjoying the rays!
Hugs to all. Happy Sunday to everyone.

Morning everyone
Gers enjoy the rest of your holiday in the sunshine - it's starting to feel quite autumnal here. Bad luck for your friend to catch Covid when you were all about to meet up.
I'm finding the TV coverage of the Queen's death and Charles becoming King so interesting - it's fascinating to think that these traditions have happened for hundreds of years.
Eldest DD arrived safely in Bali yesterday - we were texting this morning and she will probably ring later before she goes to bed...I'll be having my afternoon cuppa! She is staying in a private room in a hostel with a pool and it looks lovely - in a place called Seminyak. She was just off to the spa....
I'm going down to mam and dads this morning for a cuppa and to do dads banking and other jobs. Then will just be a lazy afternoon - it's meant to be a bit warmer today so might get a sit outside.
I'm going to cook a whole chicken in my airfryer for the first time if anyone has any tips - I'm wondering if it's best to put some foil under it?
Hope everyone has a good day today x10 -
Good morning, is your holiday nearly over already Gers, amazing. I've walked on the beach at Noosa. Enjoy the rest of your time.Izzy, your son is obviously not in the Great North Run today - neither is mine, he couldn't get a place this year, he mustn't have applied in time. He had surgery on his hand a few months ago, didn't get his normal running practice in, so at that point wasn't sure if he would try for the GNR.We came back from Northumberland yesterday after a nice few days, though the rain on Thursday - Friday was terrible.Bella, I think I read that your dd had gone into hospital with pregnancy complications, hope all's well with her now. When we were away I didn't catch up every day, so I'll have to do that.Hope everyone is plodding along as usual - take care folks.9

Morning
Gers enjoy your last few days
DP1 I always do my chicken in the slow cooker you will never go back! I don't use tin foil to stand it on but I put a layer of quartered onions and some lemon to do the same job.
Bella hope all is going well with your DD and the imminent arrival
Lovely day today blue sky and sunny
Got my contract through yesterday which I need to read today then sign and find a witness. Its all moving fast now. Got a couple of options ready for final house clearance. Estimated completion is around the 30th so all needs to be done by then.
Very few plans today but if want something there's plenty. No doubt more history will be watched I feel the coverage has taught me a lot about why things are done
Have a good day all9 -
Morning all
Bright and sunny here but with a chill in the air this morning, I have put a towel wash on so they can be hung out once its finished.
Pork steaks for dinner tonight will probably cook them outside as its such a nice day, will do some roasted veg with them and some roasted new potatoes. Mum is going to my sisters for lunch today and will come here next week.
Will get the dogs out for a good walk later make the most of the nice weather.
Gers your holiday has flown by, make the most of your last few days, its always sad when a holiday finishes but its so nice to be back in your own place xxx
Have good days all xxx7
