Did you print your own cards? Did you put cards through a printer? Did you print on labels and stick them inside cards?0

Depends on your printer; if it doesnt tell you how to do it in the manual, then just test with a sheet or two of plain paper to figure out how to feed the sheet right way up and so it prints on the correct side of the card.
edited to say, in my hp all in one I would feed the card through with the inside facing downwards and the top of the card to the left....... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Thanks guys,
I thought I did it via publisher but, cannot get a plain card option on it!!
Rosie, I have tried that but cannot get the print the right way up for the cards.

Carmen, if you mean the print is upside down then you probably need to turn your paper, left side to right - dont turn it over (top to bottom)
for instance - to print an envelope on my printer I have to feed the envelope upside down and with the flap to the left. If the flap is to the right then the address prints upside down on the front of the envelope
But if your print is coming out on the wrong side of the paper, then turn the paper over to feed (turn it upside down). I have to feed my paper in upside down.
Its a good idea to practice with a blank piece of paper - I used to mock up a card - do a doodle on the front for the pic so I could be sure I was getting it right.

Thanks Rosie,
The main problem is, to get the print on the right area of the card I would need to put the card in as it opens but, then it is too big for my printer! Is there some way of turning the print 90 degrees to the left
I hope this makes sense?
I could have written them all out by now...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Sorry Rosie, I am not sure what you mean
I have tried to print via Publisher, word, works, but the way my cards open I would have to load them into my printer so the message would need to print vertically
Sorry, this even reads muddled to me, I hope you understand?

If you have trouble getting the printing the right way round as I do, why not just print on a seperate piece of paper and stick it in like an insert? My card program gives a picture demonstration when doing double sided cards but it still comes out the wrong way round, so now I do as suggested above. If practice makes perfect, and nobody is perfect....................................
Why practice!:T0 -

yes I do understand what you mean. in publisher you can put a text box and turn the text so its on its side when you look at it on screen? I'll check and get back to you as I cant remember how to do it.
Using Word - put the text in a table (with no borders) and right click on the table, select text direction from the pop up menu and then change the text direction to whichever you need. I'm using word 2003 but I'm sure this works in other versions too.
If you cant get it to work then pm me with the text you want to use and I'll do it for you and send back
Edited to say - in Publisher - select the text box and click on Format in the top menu, choose Text box from the drop down list. A dialogue box opens, go to the tab headed Text Box and on that tab is an option to Rotate text by 90 degrees (about half way down the tab page). sorry if thats confused you. Any problems pm me
