Broker that waives fee for NHS staff

Options
Just going through the home buying process. Have used Alexander Hall as our mortgage broker. They informed us the other day that since my partner is NHS staff they waive their fee (usually £499).

They don't seem to advertise this so it was only right at the point of application we found this out!

Well every penny helps but they will get commission from the lender !
Hopefully you will get the best deal for your circumstances
Maybe a long term fix of 5 years for security 🤔

Yeah of course they do - that's fine.

I shopped around myself and they got me a deal that I could see using the search tool on this website, but it was listed as broker only deal so I think I have got the best deal here. And I suspect that is quite a common situation. They only have to make a tiny difference to the interest rate to save you their fee.

Do they still waive the fee or was that just a Covid thing?
