I’ve recently had solar panels installed. I still have to old type meter which is now going backwards during the day.
question. I don’t have a smart meter, but am I obligated to inform my energy provider that now have solar energy ?

I’m not interested in SEG as it’s more beneficial to keep the old meter going backwards than pay the lower fees in tariffs. If I’m not legally obligated then I’ll avoid having a smart meter. I’m happy to provide reading periodically.
