TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Universal – Tickets to Paradise” (the “Competition”). 

 

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside  our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.  

 

 

 

 

1.ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS	Entries are restricted to one entry per person.    Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes:    Online at https://planetradio.co.uk/magic/competitions/    Online entry is free of charge.
2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	There are two opportunities to win this competition, which have been outlined below in section 2.1 and 2.5.      2.1 Pre-registration for the on-air competition    Anyone interested in taking part in this competition must submit an answer on the online creative page and register their details, which includes agreeing to these terms and conditions. Refer to section 1 for entry route.    Registering to take part in this competition does not provide any guarantee that you will come on-air or win a prize.    2.2 Shortlisting and being invited to play the on-air competition    There will be 5 chances to win the Prize Package as described in Prize 5.0 which will be executed in daily competition rounds during the MagicBreakfast Show (see 2.4 How to Win).       For each of the competition rounds, there will be a shortlist of up to 15semi-finalists chosen by random electronic draw from all valid entries up to that point.  These semi-finalist draws will take place at the below dates/times:    For the competition on Monday 12th September 2022, the draw will take place at 9:30am on Friday 9th September 2022.    For the competition on Tuesday 13th September 2022., the draw will take place at 9:30am on Monday 12th September 2022    For the competition on Wednesday 14th September 2022, the draw will take place at 9:30am on Tuesday 13th September 2022.    For the competition on Thursday 15th September 2022, the draw will take place at 9:30am on Wednesday 14th September 2022.    For the competition on Friday 16th September 2022, the draw will take place at 9:30am on Thursday 15th September 2022    From the daily shortlisted semi-finalists, the Magic Radio production team will contact 1 shortlisted entrant at random to check their availability to play the on-air game at an agreed time and date. If the shortlisted entrant cannot make the agreed date, they will forfeit their chance to enter the next round and the production team will move on to another randomly selected entrant from the short list and repeat the process until they have found someone that can play in the on-air competition.     Speaking to a member of the production team does not guarantee you will be invited to play the competition or win the prize; only when told you are a finalist by the team will you progress to the next stage of the competition.     2.3 The on-air Competition    The Competition will air during Magic Breakfast on Magic between 06:00 and 10:00 Monday to Friday during the on-air competition period (see section 3. DATES). Exact timings of the competition within this broader timeframe will be given by the production team, upon contacting semi-finalists. There is the chance that some of these competition rounds will be pre-recorded prior to the show times but after the finalists have been selected.    2.4 How to win the on-air competition    The chosen contestant who has been selected to play the on-air competition will be brought to air and asked to talk about the feud story they submitted. The contestant will then be asked if they would like a chance to put their feud aside and will be awarded the prize.    All final decisions rest with the Magic Breakfast production team.    The Magic Breakfast Production Team reserve the right to pre-record any part of this competition with contestants before the 'as-live' broadcast.     2.5 How to win the online competition    Entry opens on Wednesday 7th September 2022 at 00:01 (the “Start Time”) to Friday 16th September 2022 at 23:59 (“End Time”).  There will be one online winner.  The winner will be chosen by electronic random draw from all those that submitted an entry on the competition page when the competition closes.  The draw will take place on Monday 19th September 2022.
3. ENTRY PERIOD	Pre-registration for the on-air competition will be open from 00:01 am on the 7th September 2022 (pre-registration start date) until 9:30 am on Thursday 15th September 2022(pre-registration end date)     There will be 1 x competition round broadcast every day from 12thSeptember 2022 (on-air start date) to the 16th September 2022 (on-air end date) during Breakfast Show between 06:00 – 10:00 Monday to Friday.    Entries received before the pre-registration start date or after the pre-registration end date will be invalid.    Please note Magic Radio reserves the right to remove the competition for any event such as a public holiday.    On-air winner Announcement: The name of the winner will be announced on-air after each competition round.    Online winner Announcement:   The winner will be chosen by electronic random draw from all those that correctly answered the question on the competition page when the competition closes and will be contacted via e-mail.    The question on the competition page is:    Which island was featured in Ticket To Paradise?  A: Fiji  B: Bali  C: Isle of Wight    Entrants must have submitted the correct answer to be in the draw.    The draw will take place on Monday 19th September 2022.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.   Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.  We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.  Anyone who has won a Bauer competition to the value of £500 or more within the past 6 months on any Bauer Radio Brand, will not be eligible to take part in this competition nor will anyone else at their address. If by any chance they get through to the phone lines – any prize they have been successful with will not be awarded. 1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you havesubmitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had. 

 

1. MISCELLANEOUS.  

 

• Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms. 

 

• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.  

• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.  

• You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.  

• We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.  

• Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. Any prize already won may be withdrawn and re-awarded to another entrant. 

 

• As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition or any element of the Prize. 

 

We may cancel, end or suspend the Competition where we are required to do so incircumstances outside our control. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any stage during the Competition if such amendment is necessary to facilitate the administration of the Competition.
