Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, damp underfoot, have had some rain during the night, rain forecast for today - we'll see.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was LO's, tonight I'm not sure but will have a dig about in the freezer.
Work wasn't too bad yesterday - short day today.
Keep safe and well x

Afternoon / morning all. Thanks for starting us off nmlc.Yesterday evening had another farewell dinner at a country pub (more huge portions!). We do seem to eat out a lot, not sure if that's how they live, maybe just a way to cope with all the visitors. Anyway, here's a photo of the pub's chalkboard. Look at Tuesday! It's very different to our more genteel 'Knit and natter'. I laughed so much at it.Today has been gloriously sunny with a cooling breeze. I was up even earlier than usual to say goodbye to middle nephew and his delightful girlfriend as they started to head back to Seoul. Just me left!I sat in the morning sun chatting to youngest nephew as he worked to fix a puncture on the very small motorcycle and then listened to the end of an audio book. He's now out for the rest of the day. SIL is on her way back from her walking group and bringing back a late lunch.Tonight two friends are arriving from Melbourne, they're staying at an hotel in Noosa so we'll all meet up tomorrow. Only a week left for me, it's been so very lovely with all the family together. A rare treat.Once again, I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Wednesday to all.10

Morning all
Pouring with rain here and set in for the day, washing will have to go on the airer once its finished.
Just one client today as one is on holiday, I would like to get out for a walk with him as he has lots of energy but that will depend on the weather ! Otherwise we will go some crafts / baking.
Ive got a chicken out for dinner and as its raining I might do a roast I have some veg that needs using up anyway.
Thanks for the good wishes yesterday, the appointment went well but I really dont like MRI's so it was quite stressful, we got in at 7.30 last night so a late dinner for us. I have to wait for the consultant to get the results now and then call me back in.
Gers I love the blackboard

Hello all, we have sharp showers here. Today I'm bracing myself to try to keep an eye on Dad at Trago Mills as he's apt to wander off and being on his scooter he's lower than normal behind the shelving. I just hope he doesn't get near the musical instruments, last time you could hear the clatter miles away as he caught his scooter on several items 😱 Lunch out today so no cooking for me but I do have half a chicken left in the fridge which I shall strip and freeze when I return.
Last night the banging started next door, think Tom the neighbour was taking down a wall upstairs, sounded like it was in our bathroom ! We're mostly in the lounge on the opposite side of the house so it wasn't too bad, but it was very unnerving when sitting on the loo 😂
Gers I did wonder about the Hotel Hookers on Wed too !
RedRuby fingers crossed that the results are ok.
Take care all

Morning all, dull today & rained during the night but ok for now. I did pop to the market for my veg & had a nice chat with the owner but am now regretting not getting him to deliver a box as my shoulders are aching with carrying it home
DH dropped me off but I got the bus back, should have done it the other way round! We had a mix of teas last night- made tater hash for DH to empty the veg drawer a bit, I had leftover beef stew & DS1 cooked himself a steak burger when he got in- we'd already gone to DGS football match by then. That was meant to be a friendly but he ended up getting kicked in the mouth and had to go off for a bit. When it was time to go home he said his teeth were aching
It's the start of the season proper on Saturday.
I need to have a quick tidy of the chest freezer as I'm picking up a meat pack from the butchers today.Gers, the Aussies don't mince their words do they?RR hope you get out for a walk.Izzy, been there, done that with kitchen fitting- well several times actually, but it'll all be worth it when it's finished.
Hope it's a good day for you all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)8 -
Hi everyone,
Izzy, I read that as "off to the workhouse" and thought how appropriate. Fingers crossed you have water tonight.
We saw C, C and N yesterday, we're going away today so won't be back until next Monday - Chris goes back to work then and isn't looking forward to it at all, he's been very involved with Nate's care because of Crystal's section, the only thing he doesn't do is feed him.
Esben is currently watching alpha blocks, he's showing a lot of interest in letters, he "reads" his books and his memory is phenomenal. I took him to nursery yesterday and had a very traumatic drop-off, it's the first time he's not gone in quietly when I've taken him, he was fine though.
We've got to drop L and E off at Stansted this afternoon and then drive up to the Wirral to leave Ziggypup with Steve's sister. Then tomorrow we'll go up to the Yorkshire house for a night and go to the funeral on Friday afternoon. We'll stay the night in Glasgow but sadly the Grasshopper hotel was booked up so we had to find somewhere else.
Have a good day.

Morning everyone from my window seat in the office! Thanks for the start nmlc x
We went to the cinema last night and saw a documentary by George Ezra as he walked Lands End to John O'Groats last year. It was quite emotional and obviously of interest to me as I'm doing the reverse (JoGLE) in stages. DH enjoyed it too and the soundtrack was George's music.
More painting tonight - hallway and landing walls. I won't get home until 6.30pm so will be another late night of DIY I expect. Can't complain though as we've had a few days respite!!
Dinner will be a quick smoked salmon and pea pasta courtesy of Gino D'C
That noticeboard made me chuckle @Gers. Have loved hearing about your trip.
Hope @TravellingAbuela is having a nice time at the 'van.
Glad the MRI went okay @RedRuby1231 and hope not too long before you hear the results xx
Safe travels @snoozer x
Have a good day all,
Coxy

Afternoon everyone
First day of term here so I've been in to work this morning - it was a bit of a struggle getting up!
Little one started at my nursery today - she had a lovely morning. She's been there with me so it wasn't new to her and she already knew all the adults. At the minute she can only go when I'm there until everyone else gets trained to do her blood tests.
Rained through the night again but it's lovely and sunny now. I need to pop down to mam and dads for a bit then I'll be sitting out in the sun - might finish Sunday's paper!
My niece sent me a lovely picture of great nephew all ready for school - he's going into year 1 today.
Hope everyone has a good day
Gers - your pub sign made me laugh x8 -
Morning
Lovely day here today. I think we get the rain this afternoon but its nice right now
Been an up and down week in Casa mums
Positives I managed to sell the table and chairs and even better they managed to twist it out the house (think "to me to you"!)
Boiler serviced and all is well.
Not so good BHF refused the big units as they didn't think they would sell. so left with how to get rid now.
Got rid of some more little stuff to charity today so lots of progress but worried about the big stuff.
Heading home soon where I will lie in a darkened room!
Rubes thinking about you
Have a good day all xx
