CARE HOME FEES - SAVINGS THRESHOLD

I have read that the savings threshold is going to change in October 2023 from £23,250 to £100,000. My mother is already living in a care home. Does anybody know whether her financial situation will be reassessed or whether this new threshold only applies to new residents of a care home? Thank you in advance.

I've been told that anyone already in a care home will continue to have the 23.5k threshold. Only those moving in to care from Oct on will have the higher one.
