I have checked my NI record online and it shows 2021/22 TY is a full year despite my not having paid any contributions. A couple of other TYs also show as a full year but only minimal contributions paid (around £5). I’m unclear how this can be correct?

Do you get NI credits?

If you work more than about 13 hours a week on adult minimum wage you would be credited with NI.

I don’t receive NI credits via any benefits but looking at the first link, it seems I fall into the category of being between the Lower Earnings Limit and the Primary Threshold which explains it.
