Wanting to drive less and walk the kids to school more…in wet, windy and wild NE Scotland.

Looking at double canopy golf umbrellas but I’m only short (golf brolly handles typically too long) but need the diameter/arc to cover my kid and I. Needs to work for 6+ ft adult too, and be durable. Happy to spend £30 on decent ones that’ll last.

any suggestions?

I don’t use brollies as you can’t walk down the street without either taking someone’s eye out or constantly having to put it down when people come toward you.

My autumn and winter coats are waterproof with hoods so now I can happily stay dry.

Sorry not a brolly suggestion for you but a golf brolly I would think would be even more of an inconvenience as they are huge.

Thanks. Around here we’ve got pretty wide pavements and I often need to carry a baby on my back too. I think the umbrella is cheaper than buying three very good cagouls for now.

I've had a Fulton for many years, similar to the current Stormshield.

I was then fortunate to acquire another from a vacant property.  Well made and they don't turn inside out.

Thank you! This post dried up quickly 🤣 so I bit the bullet and in the meantime I bought a Fulton Cyclone! Looking forward to testing it out soon…
steered away from golf brollies as handles were unwieldingly long and impractical.

Hope global warming keeps us dry. I doubt it!
