Instant Pot/Multicooker recipes please?

Options
Hello all!
Been a very long time since I posted on here but I have been lurking!
I'm getting an InstantPot tomorrow and just wondered if anybody had any good recipes for me to try?  I already have a small slow cooker which I use quite a lot but in an attempt to use my oven a lot less I've splashed out on the Instantpot Duo Crisp.
We like our food in our house, just the two of us but both have very physical jobs so enjoy a decent meal at night.  The InstantPot should hopefully help with cutting down on cooking times as I seem to spend so much time cooking decent meals after work and have little time for anything else before bedtime!  I don't mind a bit of prepping as I always cook from scratch, the only downside is that we both dislike pasta - one of the easiest things to make!
Thanks in advance!
Jules x

First use it in an open place where the steam can release without damaging cupboards,
Second VITAL never release the pressure with your face over the top, I used a wooden spoon at first until I got used to it,
I have had an instant pot, about 2 years, I use it daily, mostly I steam my veg, 3- or 4-mins and q/r after coming to pressure, I use the slow cooker part if only for myself, I use my big slow cooker if cooking a larger amount.
Pressure cook meat pieces as it helps tenderise,
A time/energy saving piece of equipment.

Just realised you need to learn the abbreviations,
Q/R quick release, this is when you flip the pressure valve open.
N/R when you just let the pressure release in its own time.
there are lots of recipes online and social media has forums dedicated to it, just not this one.
Do I need it or just want it.
  • I have had an Instant Pot for a few years now, so not the one with the air fry lid. The most helpful resource I found was actually online with Amy and Jacky at Pressure Cook Recipes. Lots of step by step recipes and tips although you can also skip straight to the recipe itself. Everything is obviously very well tested as I haven’t had a failure with their recipes yet. Always make sure any residues are well dissolved from the base of the pan when cooking or the burn message will come on!

I second this! It is delicious and very easy. I have her recipe book too and regularly make Urvashi Pitre’s simple curries.

I've been trying out lots of recipes in my new Instant Pot, and it's taking a bit of getting used to!
So far we have had beef stroganoff and meatballs & spaghetti.

I'm going to be trying loads more oven the next few months, as I'm trying to use the oven & hob less.
  • Please add more recipes to this thread. Mine is coming tomorrow! Couldn't justify buying one but my airfryer eventually died this week and I managed to get the instant pot duo crisp on a Black Friday offer.
     Very excited!

My pressure cooker and airfryer are my most-used gadgets. Got my first airfryer about 8 years ago and it's used daily. Exciting to have something that does even more!

Love my Instant Pot had it many years. Use it most days for something or another. I made meatloaf and mash using the pot in pot method yesterday.

I also use it to fry things off using the sauté function. Mine does not have a airfryer lid as I got it before they came out.

They made the best cheesecakes, oh I need to make another soon.

I just watched loads and loads of YouTube videos.

I have an Instant Pot Duo which I've had about four years and an Instant Brand Vortex for about a year. I've found these two Facebook groups to be full of useful information.
