Price Per Unit - Different Tariff's

My First post on here so be kind

My tariff with E-ON Next is up for renewal in October - I know from reading articles and even listening to Martin this morning on GMB - the general rule of thumb it that the price per unit on fixed rate overall will cost less in the long run, but looking at my tariff comparison this morning - the variable rate seems to over double per unit.

Any suggestions on the best way forward? or any other suppliers offering better deals than these two? they are my cheapest options with e-on next.

thanks

Jess

Come October the SVT prices will jump by ~80% on average with further increases possible in January & April.

Here we go, this one is based on the Thursday market development. Todays predication for last Friday is even lower, but that was before North Stream 1 was closed.

Auxilione expects the reduced prices from the last week to be wiped out and we might go back to the 26th of August forecast.

It is up to you what you believe will happen in the next months and how much security is worth to you.

  • Thank you both so much, security at the minute means so much.

Bear in mind that if you opt to take up the fix that you have 14 days cooling off period to back out without any penalties (although it looks like the offered fix does not have exit penalties).

Given what Liz Truss has said about freezing the cap it's all a big gamble atm but it looks like in that case you could move back to SVT at no extra cost.
