Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot. Wash load ready to peg out.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Lunch yesterday was roast lamb with roasties, mash, carrots, green beans, broc,, peas, yorkshires and gravy - some LO's. Cooked the lamb in my ninja on the pressure option, was excellent and didn't need to have the oven on until I needed to cook the roast potatoes and yorkshires. I remembered to get the sausages out of the freezer to defrost so tonight we'll be having egg, bacon, sausage, mushrooms and beans.
Back to work today, see what's happening there as more staff off sick or on leave.
Keep safe and well x

Morning / afternoon folks. So far it's been a very pleasant day. Breakfast was some of the leftover lasagna from last night then I sat in the morning sun for an hour or so talking to two nephews and my SIL and making plans for the rest of the week.On Wednesday one nephew and his girlfriend fly back to Seoul. On the same day two friends from Melbourne will arrive, they're staying in an hotel in Noosa. Then a cousin of my SIL is coming with her adult son, plus on Friday a far-related cousin is coming up from Brisbane for lunch with me - his great-great grandmother was my aunt. Meanwhile my youngest nephew's four children will be back from Wednesday to Saturday. 😱 I'm enjoying the respite.Youngest nephew and I had a quiet lunch together in Kin Kin. I've brought most of mine back in a doggy bag! All the portions here are huge. I've already taken home leftover Chinese food and some delicious Asian slaw, very MSE, pay once eat twice. 😂
Now I'm having a wee rest until our evening activities. I hope that everyone is doing OK.
Happy Monday to all.9 -
Morning All
Just lost a post. It's raining again. Yesterday turned out really nice so I hope today is the same.
Good Ikea trip, got everything I went for. Little shelf unit put together and is in the big understairs cupboard. Curtain pole up at the back door ready for winter.
Hope everyone's well, take care. XX8 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's raining here, and quite chilly. The trees opposite our house are changing colour already, autumn is coming early this year.I didn't get on here yesterday, we had dgs staying, and I didn't get round to it. He's starting school this week, 4 half days Tues - Fri, then full time next week, I hope he'll be ok. The young ones look so little. We're going away this morning to the Northumberland coast so not too far to travel. TA, hope you enjoy your little holiday.Snoozer, babies soon lose that newborn look, hope they're all well.Good to see you posting Gers.Rosy, the smell from the farm sounds sickening. We occasionally get wafts if the wind is in a certain direction, but not as bad as you are describing, sounds horrible.Izzy, you'll be in turmoil for a few days, hope the new kitchen goes in without problems.Marie, I'm pleased to see you posting, hope you're doing all right.Hope everyone has as good a day as they can today, take care folks.11

Morning
We had a very noisy storm last night but back to perfect blue sky this morning.
Busy week ahead. Stripped the bed this morning and want to get all in and out this morning so I know it will be dry by Weds night. Ive had a really thin duvet on over summer so I'm hoping that will fit in the machine. Clothes in now so want those out asap then I can get the bedding in. A watched washing machine never finishes!
Watching Martin on GMTV in between so scary
Got a plumber coming round after 8 to quote for a new meter box outside. The lock has broken on locked on the current one so I can't get in to read the meter and neither could a meter reader so needs sorting.
Off to mums this afternoon as fingers crossed I have sold her dining room table and chairs and the person is coming to collect. I don't count my chickens though till the thing has gone. Busy few days there then home Thurs for a dentist appointment. Will be glad when this week is done.
Have a good day all10 -
Morning all. The sun is shining here although heavy rain woke me up in the night.
I've had a lovely weekend, playing and dancing at Wallingford Bunkfest on Saturday and then yesterday I was playing at Amersham Heritage Day. I hadn't been to the Amersham day before but it was well worth a visit. They had vintage buses ferrying people to and from the train station, a large display of vintage vehicles, including a steam engine and some other steam thingy plus lots of good stalls and displays. It was very busy with people so the stalls were doing great business and one of the cake stalls closed early as it had sold out. We bought a slab of chocolate brownie from the WI stall but haven't yet tried it.
Today DH is meeting some friends for a pub lunch so I'll do a bit of housework and shopping and might fit in a walk. I've got one load of washing to hang out so might go and do that in a minute.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. More overnight rain but now the sun is emerging. I hope it follows the same pattern as the last couple of days as they have turned out lovely.
I need to do a menu plan for the forthcoming week as everything has to go with me as the nearest shop is a 2 mile walk away and I can't do with going hungry!! I used to keep a store cupboard for back up in the old van but my visits are so few and far between these days it's not worth it. Though DD says I am welcome to rummage through hers if need be!
Other than that I will pack a few clothes and looking at the forecast a mac and brolly will be essentials! I have already selected the books I am taking. Got my priorities right! Sparkle is getting used to being a "caravan cat" too now and seems to enjoy watching new things from the windows.
Have a good day folks if you can. MARIE I hope you manage to get home today. IZZY my fingers are crossed that the turmoil of the kitchen fitting goes to plan. Good to hear that Nathaniel is doing well SNOOZER. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning all
Terrific storm last night thunder and lightening went on for hours, I did not sleep well because of it so feel a bit jaded this morning. The smell does seem to have gone a bit though which is good, I have been told by two different people that its human waste, so who knows ! I have complained to environmental health so we will see what they say.
Two clients coming today, one who does not like to walk anywhere and one with no money so not the easiest of days to plan, I thought we could make a cake this morning and then drive out and have a picnic somewhere, then maybe do some crafts this afternoon.
Quiche and salad for dinner with some new potatoes, nice and quick.
Nels good luck this week ! xx
Izzy hope the kitchen fit oes well xx
TA have a nice break xx
Have good days all xxx8 -
Hi everyone,
Rosy we used to get manure spreading where I grew up, barf. Although it's very rural round here the farmers don't seem to muck spread like they did in the north.
Nelski, fingers crossed you'll be down a table and chairs by the end of the day.
Marie, fingers crossed for you too, for a return home.
Laaura has gone back to bed with a headache so I am tasked with getting Esben to nursery this morning, he's there today instead of Thursday. Ziggy is being clipped at lunch time, she's looking rather shaggy.
I want to get on with the quilt I am making for Nathaniel, it's taking a while because I'm making it up as I go along.
Have a good day.10 -

Didn't get to the boot fair yesterday but have booked tip slot for tomorrow so need to do some more decluttering today
I was going to try to salvage the umbrella stand of Ddads that DGC broke when they were here (accidently) but I think it will only crack again so sadly will take that tomorrow
Taking DMIL out for coffee later it must confuse her even more now that it is both of her Ds and DDIL when we go out now it used to be just the boys during the week
Have a good day all and hugs for those who want them
