Afternoon all.
It was very sad when the English contingent left, I had a little weep as the car drove off. Seeing the three remaining brothers and six assorted cousins together was so lovely, now I hope that the younger ones keep in touch. They have Messenger for Kids on their laptops so it should be easy enough.
Peace reigns at the temporary Gers Towers. Four family members gone home to England, two others out for the day, one at school fair, SIL and I the only ones here. 🎉 I sat out in the sun for a couple of hours until it got too hot.

I hope that everyone is doing fine. Happy Sunday to all.

Dull and showers here not a lot happening will pop down to see my son and his family for a hour later otherwise feet up day I have chicken out for later need to have a look and plan some meals for the rest of the week it’s not that I won’t be able to cook anything it’s just that everything is in boxes and I will be short of work surfaces until the kitchen is in he’s a good lad my sink unit will be out and in the first day and some other bits and my cooker will be out and straight back in it’s just the upheaval but I know it will be worth it .thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Morning folks and thanks GERS. It sounds to be a very emotional time when it comes to the farewells. It's so much easier these days with modern technology to keep in touch so I'm sure the younger generation will keep it up.
It looks as though we have had a little bit of rain through the night but it's not, as yet, living up to the heavy showers we are forecast..
I decided yesterday to have a week up at the caravan before the cold weather hits. I am going Tuesday to Tuesday. It will make a nice change as I haven't been enough this year. Sadly I can no longer do the walking that we did back in the early days of retirement but I can still enjoy the lovely views and the wildlife spotting. If we happen to be spoiled by an Indian summer later I might even go again. DD and the girls won't be using it as school resumes on Wednesday. They will have a last week there at half term before the site closes at the start of November.
I need to pop in town this morning as I never got down yesterday and there are odd bits I need in Boots before I go. I have a Tesco delivery this afternoon which has been added to and changed numerous times. It started off as a top up of all the food the DGD's had cleared me out of and then last night I was frantically adding more food to take with me.
The tall freezer got defrosted as planned yesterday and is now all neat, tidy and organised. I keep hoping to combine the contents of the 2 freezers but it never happens. I must try harder to reduce stocks! Have a good day if you can folks and take care. ((HUGS)) for our poorlies or fed up xx

Morning all
Looks to be a nice day here but rain due late evening, I have stripped the beds off this morning and got the bedding on a hot wash they can be hung out for a while today.
I am going to go to the range today to get some craft bits, its meant to rain heavily this week so I need some indoor things to do with my clients, I think they have a good selection there.
The farmer at the back of us is spreading muck on the fields, I grew up opposite a farm so I am very used to the smells, but this is something elsesomeone said it was human waste, its disgusting and we have had to keep all the windows closed the whole area reeks and its making us feel a bit sick, I am just going to look for a number or email for environmental health to complain, it cant be right !
BBQ tonight if the smell goes a bit, got lots of bits left from yesterday so will use them up.
Izzy good luck with the new kitchen, the mess will be worth it for a brand new kitchen !
Have good days all xxx8 -
Morning all, we've had some rain too, I'm glad I did the garden last week, it still looks pretty tidy.
I didn't get on here yesterday as we had DGS overnight on Friday and he stayed most of yesterday. Both DGC will be here on Monday again with DGD then staying overnight on Monday (she didn't want to be left out) and then all day Tuesday as DD and SIL are back in school. DGS wasn't amused either that he has to go back the day before his sister !
Today I have to tackle some ironing, not my favourite job but there's some items that we want to take for our hols next week. There's some lo chinese takeaway to finish up so that's tea sorted for today.
TA happy hols in case I don't get on before you go.
Have a good Sunday if you can
Take care all

Morning All
Raining hard this morning, not looking good for the rest of the day either.
I've been swimming and am going to Ikea with a friend in a bit, it'll probably be busy but I have a list so shouldn't take too long.
More plums picked yesterday so made more jam. I've run out of jars and cupboard space now!
Pleased to hear you're homeward bound Marie.
Yuk Ruby.
Hope there's not too much disruption Izzy.
Have a peaceful Sunday. Take care. XX9 -
Hi everyone,
Gers, I share your hopes that the younger generations will keep in touch, we shall see.
TA, enjoy your trip, we'll be heading up to Yorkshire at the end of the week but sadly it will be as part of the journey to Glasgow for Brian's mum's funeral.
We had a pleasant afternoon at Anglesey Abbey. Nate is starting to lose that newborn look now, it doesn't take long.
We were planning to take the pup out this morning but Esben has been very challenging and is now having a nap. We've been trying to limit his naps so that he will go to sleep at a reasonable time at night and it seems to be working but it's obviously caught up with him today.
Apart from that it will probably be a quiet day, Laura wants something veggie for dinner so I might make Somerset bean stew which she really likes, I've got some broccoli to serve with it and will do some mash.
Have a good day.

RR it's usually blood, fish and bone meal that stinks. I don't think anyone's allowed to use human waste but could be wrong. All that clutter used to be money9

Morning all (just),
We had torrential rain during the night, kept me awake for a couple of hours. It cleared early and is now quite sunny, imagine that we have more rain to come later!
Ruby, I think that Sayschezza is correct in saying that the use of human waste is illegal, who knows if laws have been changed. Hope that you can go ahead with your BBQ.
Gers.... goodbyes are always sad.
Have a good day all.

Afternoon everyone
It poured down here all night and was drizzly this morning but is brightening up now so I may get a sit outside with my paper later. Also got some ironing to do so I'll do that first.
Little kitten is running round like a crazy thing...doing a circuit of downstairs then leaping at the fridge to try to knock little ones magnetic letters off. She's settled in really well and has only had a couple of accidents. Little one loves to cuddle her but likes to wrap her feet in a blanket(!) so she can't scratch her - she told her yesterday 'it's really a bit mean you know Trixie.'
We had a very complicated conversation about her being a baby and how little one didn't scratch people when she was a baby....
I've been down to mam and dads this morning - sorted his audible books and replied to eldest DDs email - she's very excited as she's going on holiday to Bali next week.
Well the ironing won't get done unless I move. Hope everyone has a good day x8
