i have a few western digital 'my books'.
They are fantastic, very quite, turn on and off with your computer, laptop, they look good too.
500gb is approx £79 (have3)
and the 1TB are approx £169ish (have one)
I would avoid maxtor external hard drives, they are very noisy, you have to turn them on and off manually and i the one i had died after 4 months, when i took it back to PC World i could see a pile of them behind the tech guys counter that had been returned by other customers.0 -
Thanks
Where is best to purchase? any offers on anywhere at the minute?0 -
meant to add,
find out what hard drive you want and then look for it. If you go into the likes of PC World like i did at first, they will recommend anything as they dont seem to have a clue about computers.
I ended up buying my hard drives on amazon and ebay.0 -
just did a google for western digital with the uk tab selected and the first link was to amazon
