Help with EWS1 form being incorrect and remortgage

Options
Hi All

I am coming to the end of a two year fixed term mortgage.  When i applied for the mortgage I provided the information relating to the ews1 form that had been issued.  I have subsequently discovered that the person/company issuing the form was not eligilble to do so and so further remedial cladding works are currently taking place.  htey will not be complete by the time my fixed term ends.

What should I do regarding my remortgage, I am happy to stay with my current provider, but will the fact that I did have an EWS1 form but its now been revoked be an issue for them?  Should I move to a SVR rate until I have the new form.  I dont want to get in to any legal trouble!

Thanks in advance for any advice.

@itsnotmeitsyou Given that you're happy with staying with your current provider and simply switching to a new fix, the EWS1 shouldn't come into the picture.

I can see where you're coming from with regard to the original EWS1 rating, but given that you supplied it in good faith at the time and the lender reviewed it before issuing an offer, I [personally wouldn't worry about it. In any case, unless the product-switch process explicitly asks about fire-safety (I'm pretty sure it doesn't), I don't think there's any difference between moving ton to SVR or moving to a new product, they're both with the same lender anyway.
