It should really be covered by business insurance - which would be an expense.
Best you will probably get is using home as office and claim the £6 a week or whatever it these days.

Just a quick question, can a sole trader who uses the home purely for storage of materials (in the garage) for use in his work claim for buildings and contents insurance on their tax return ?
