I have 5.25kwp with a 3.6kw inverter and can get a fair bit of clipping between 12-4pm. As I have batteries I've learned to delay letting them fill on a decent sunny day until the panels are getting close to producing 3.6kWh.
This allows the panels to produce higher than 3.68kWh until the batteries are full, as the limit is only to what goes out the other side of the inverter to cover load/grid.
