Tax relief for pension as high tax payer

Hi

I was reading my employee pension hand book and it stated I can claim back tax if I am a higher tax payer during my self assessment can someone advise whatvthis means please?

What we need to know is which method/type of contribution is being made.

With most there is no higher rate tax relief to claim, it all happens automatically.

Are you getting the money into your pension via,

Net pay or

Relief at source or

Salary sacrifice?
