Can't find the sold price

The house next door to me sold around March this year.  The sold price is still not on Zoopla/Rightmove etc, nor can I find anything on the land registry database.

The previous owner said she sold to a finance company, and she bought a retirement apartment. Would this be why the data isn't available? Is it likely I'll never be able to find the sold price?

When you say "land registry database", are you just looking for the free house price data? If so then try buying the actual title.

Though if it wasn't a normal open market sale, I'm not sure how much use the price will be to you.

There are long delays at the Land Registry, it may not have gone through yet.

I've done a search on property ownership information on the land registry site.

Could it be a first registration?

We bought a property that hasn’t been registered previously took 13 months for land registry to update.

Shouldn't be. There's been at least one previous owner who moved to a retirement apartment.

But if she had lived in it since the year dot and held the physical deeds to the proeprty, couldn't the first registration be done as part of the sale process ?
