Transferring a small NEST pension

I have a very small Nest pension with a transfer value of £1297. I am 58 and considering transferring it to either but Civil Service Pension or my larger private pension scheme. The former I have only been in since April 2019 and the latter is one I have been contributing to for many years. Its a unit lifestyle pension which is about to move to a less risky structure. Does anyone see any negatives in transferring such a small pension pot to either scheme? Thanks.

Hello - just bumping this as you don't seem to have had any replies.
If you can transfer in to civil service and get defined benefits in return that would be a pretty good result. Consult your administrator. Usually you have to be an active member to transfer in to such a scheme so not sure if you are currently or ex civil serviceI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

I recall reading that you can only transfer funds into some public sector pensions within the first 12 months of joining. This might throw a spanner in the works?

With it being only £1297 you could take it all as a "small pot" and just do a voluntary contribution for this amount to another bigger pension.0

However probably just as easy to ask the current pension provider to transfer it in . If in cash it usually works quite smoothly.0
