    • Elf Jellypop Dew Primer: Went through phases with this.  Liked it.  Then I didn't.  Then when I decided to crack on with finishing it I was using it every day and I started liking it again. Very sticky, VERY dewy, does make your skin look nice and fresh (even if you put a bit of powder on after, which I do)- a nice finish.  Good job I started liking this again, as I think I have one in the stash....

    Almost through my Elf baked highlighter (very exciting!), and I'd been telling myself for AGES that when I finished it, I would treat myself to a Kaleidos highlighter (they look absolutely STUNNING), but I'm slightly freaking out about the cost of living crisis (hey, I might need that £30 for food or heating soon (£30 cos I was gonna get 2 as they ship from America or China)) so I'm gonna put my big girl pants on, and get something drugstore.  I feel v grown up! :lol:  Popped into Superdrug on the way home to check out the MUA ones, and they are pretty with a nice selection of shades, and only £3.50.  Hell, I could get 3 and it'd still be cheaper than one of the Kaleidos ones!  Is this progress? Maybe. Substituting more expensive items for cheaper seems the thing to do right now, and who apart from me would know it wasn't a fancy highlighter?  And who the hell cares about highlighter anyway?  Just me :lol:

  • That is progress @Clutterbug07 😉  I have downgraded a lot of my beauty products to save a bit of cash, but there are some things that I don't scrimp on (like a lot of my skincare...) because I figure I don't have any other vices in life 🤷‍♀️😂
    Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £
    LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000

  • Aww thanks @ruby_eskimo, it does feel like progress, and perhaps when times aren't so dire, I can treat myself to that fancy highlighter, but that time is not now.  hahahaha back pat, back pat.  Well done on the lack of vices :lol: It makes sense to spend more on skincare though too, since you need a good canvas to work on, and then you dont even have to wear as much makeup!

  • My last UUs of the month:

    • COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence:  Snaily goodness.  Have another in the stash.  Love this after AHA/BHA for extra soothing
    • MAC Glow Play Lip Balm in floral coral: Been scraping out the last bits of this for a few weeks. I LOVE this balm, perfect peachy sheen lipbalm <3  Got my No7 version to replace it, which seems like a lovely dupe but half the price- whoop whoop!

    Which makes my totals as follows:

    • INS: 15 (£168.78- eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek! Was my Yesstyle order, so this month was always going to be high)
    • OUTS: 28 (1 x gave away, 3 x throw away, 24 UUs)
    • Shake it all abouts:  13 less items than I had at the start of the month
    Overall I'm pleased with how many things I finished this month. :smile:
