I'm not joking, my mum's cat has about 10 different types of food in multiple flavours to choose from. Every time we leave the house, my mum says we need cat food. There is a whole cupboard full.Bagpuss741 said:2. Been to Wilko for bird food and noticed the cats favourite encore tuna loin was reduced to £1 instead of £1.70 so I bought her two plus a encore chicken with rosemary which was also £1 (cat eats better than me)
She has Gourmet Pearl, Felix, Cat-soup, dentabites, several flavours of dreamies, high-life, two types of biscuits, pates, sheba and probably more I can't remember. Then she gets proper meat too. Chicken, mince, best-ham. Blimming spoilt!LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.313 -
Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Eight:Alarm clock off at the wall during day time.Turn off WiFi box when not using it.Air dry clothing.I was getting frustrated with our Walk In Storage at home so DW and I spent a morning sorting it. We found 'treasure': two pairs of nearly new steel toe-capped boots which I will use at work and a brand new electric toothbrush, 30 flimsy carrier bags and 5 paintbrushes. (With the price of carrier bags nowadays that's real treasure.)
We had to make a run to the recycling centre afterwards to get rid of cardboard and we've put a lot of stuff on Facebook Buy And Sell. We already sold a nearly new big parasol for £20 and a nearly new wee garden chair for a £5. Gave away a Wifi Router. Hoping someone will give us nearly £20 for our big garden chair. When while I was away DW decluttered under the bed. We aren't very 'cluttery' but there is room for improvement.I was at a work conference for two days where I got free accommodation, travel, food and drink and wasn't using my share of gas and electricity at home. I charged my personal phone in the accommodation for free.Take DW for a free NHS test. I'll declutter my phone while I'm in the waiting room.

Morning folks
I've decided to take a cheeky day off work today - I'm not contracted for Fridays so I'm not using any holiday. I need to potter about at home today I think and relax a bit. I struggle working 5 days a week for extended periods of time as my commitments are based around me working 4 days. The current slip is not cooking proper dinners. I keep either nibbling at stuff, buying things or cooking the same easy things over and over.
MSE things:
B/L/D from stores
Not going into work so no petrol spend
Use as little elec as possible
Do some batch cooking
Finish sorting the start of month budget sheet with OH
Spendy things:
Buy a whole load of stuff from the butchers. Will be enough for the month more or less.
Buy bin bags
Other things:
Dusting
Finish my socks
Have a good one all

Morning all
Today I have / will:Walked dog - decent walk this morning (sometimes he refuses to walk far, and it seems a waste of time to just walk with him tucked under my arm
) Quick bathroom and kitchen clean upUpdated spending spreadsheet - I tend to write all spends down in my diary and update the spreadsheet when I think about it (but at least once a month!)Bit of paperwork for my business while I was at it!Sent some money to my eldest grandson and his fiancee for their engagement (how old am I!!!!)RM surveys stuffPrepped and cooked up the rest of the apples, together with some blackberries that OH picked yesterday.Still to do:Watering in garden (sigh, still no rain to speak of. I think I can get away with just doing a few pots today though).Freeze apple and blackberry pie filling when it is coldMake a big chilli to use up veg in the fridge.Update:Decided to empty the fridge, which meant using up all the stuff lurking in it. Apart from the chilli, I made carrot and coriander soup, a salad of white beans (from tins) chorizo (from the freezer) a chopped red onion and loads of HG cherry tomatoes. Going to have this for dinner with garlic bread. Also made a mixed berry compote from garden fruit. And I notice the pears want picking!1 -
If anyone is with Octopus Energy I would recommend using their Balance Forecast to see how much your energy bills might be going up to. To access it you login to Octopus, then Menu, then My Account, then View My Balance Forecast, then Enable Crystal Ball Mode.

So went for a little freezer shop and ended up spending £60!
I never usually shop at Tesco I usually got to sainsburys as I have discount or Lidl. Little Ernie has wiggled his way into our bed during the nights so I’ve got to put a mattress protector on there tonight as he’s more than likely to have an accident.Start my new job Monday so excited! I’m thinking of going back to sainsburys also, as the money would give me a little extra boost towards my debts!
