Help, I need a scanner that'll scan slides !

I have loads of old negatives of various sizes and 35mm colour and black and white slides that I'd love to scan and archive.
I've heard that a lot of the scanners that can do this aren't very good and give poor results.
Does anyone know of any that give good results or is there a scanner that is just dedicated to this requirement
Thanks for any help

Checkout the HP scanjet 3770. It does slides and negs etc. The cheapest I have found is Misco at 54.95 +vat and carr.In stock. http://www.misco.co.uk/productinformation/98591/WW/HP_SCANJET_3770____/I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
