Morning all
Where is everybody ?? hope you are all having a relaxing morning. First wash of the day is about to finish and can be hung out another load to go in after.
DD and pup are due back soon they have had a lovely weekend away she is all re-charged and ready for her new job on Tuesday.
I made the chutney yesterday and its delicious but not quite thick enough so I will re boil it later and hope it thickens a bit more.
We will take the dogs out this morning and then this afternoon we are going to a beer festival in the local pub, they are also doing tapas meals so we will treat ourselves to a meal out, there is a band playing so should be a good afternoon.
Snoozer I am sorry to hear of Brians mum passing, it sounds like a very peaceful end which is what we all hope for xxx
Have good days all xx14 -
Morning All
Very quiet here today, is everyone having a lie in?!
I've been for the shopping, lovely and quiet but there was a power cut to the store on Thursday so lots of empty fridges and freezers as they had to put everything in the bin.
It's lovely and warm and sunny, I may just lay outside reading today.
Have a peaceful Sunday. Take care. XX11 -
Morning All
Searched earlier for the thread and thought I may have missed it
DGC go home today we are going out for a bite to eat first so at least DD will not have to worry about feeding them
DGS starts high school this week seems only 5 minutes since he was a baby in my arms
I think they have had a good 2 weeks played lots if games and we have talked about doing that more when they go home rather than phones and tablets
Hope everyone is having a peaceful Sunday hugs to all who want them

Evening from Kin Kin, it's been a day of heavy showers and then bright sunshine. My SIL and I took our leave of the clan and went to a market in Tewantin which was ratter disappointing so we went onto the Noosa Farmer's market, much better. We were heading for a relaxing coffee and chat when we got a call from back home, one of the small ones had an injury so we came back. All drama and no crisis! My wee cabin is my salvation from the mayhem 😀 though I resurrected my teacher skills earlier to calm things down for a short while. Next nephew arrives tomorrow, thankfully he hasn't got children yet! I'm really enjoying them all being together, my hope is that they remain in touch from now on.It's nice to catch up here, happy Sunday to all.11

Hi everyone,
Gers, hopefully they will now communication is so easy. I have drifted apart from my family, I haven't seen any of my brothers for several years and I don't think they have seen each other either. I have tried to bring my two up to be close in contrast to how we were brought up.
We had no distress calls from the new parents yesterday but her mum was still there and her sister and partner also went. They had to go to the hospital for the midwife visit that should have been done at home, I feel for the women who don't have transport or aren't able to drive themselves and are alone. anyway, everything was fine and Nathaniel has only lost a small amount of weight so the feeding is going well.
I had a lazy day yesterday and might have another today.
Have a good day.12 -
Hello all, I did manage a long lie in after several sleepless nights, so I am in catch up mode and now I'm rushing to get lunch ready. We're having a joint of beef in some requested onion gravy so that's bubbling away in the slow cooker, good job it was half cooked last night ! Dad will be joining us and has requested another haircut, his hair seems to grow as fast as mine. I had to cut my fringe last night as I couldn't see where I was going 😁 Tea will be sandwiches followed by sticky toffee pud and custard mmmmm ! I have lost 2lbs since Sunday but after pudding it will probably be back on 🤔
Yesterday I got some items ticked off my list but then went out in the sunshine, weeded the patio and swept from the back of the house down to the road. Unfortunately there's still plenty of weeds left to tackle and both lawns need cutting. Hopefully that will be done sometime this week. Right off to put on the veggies which are thankfully already prepped too.
Snoozer hugs to Brian and family at this sad time.
Take care all

Evening all, many thanks for all the birthday wishes yesterday, you lovely lot. This is the 1st chance I've had to post, yesterday was a bit hectic, we did DGS footie , lovely to see him after his week away.We came back home to change, then caught the bus into town at lunch time for the food festival.Slow progress with Dh still hobbling,I'd had a message from a friend asking if we were there, so met up with them in a beer garden, then back to the main part for some food & listening to the bands on the live music stage. It was good, Si King (Hairy Biker) was on with his band for an hour. All in all we were there about 8 hrs & were flagging a bit so we said our byes and came home. I may pop down again for the last day tomorrow.Snoozer I was sorry to hear about Brian's mum & send my condolences to the family.Gers you sound like you're enjoying Aus, though sounds a good job you have your hideaway. Taff not long to go now, exciting...My brain hasn't retained any more info from my catch up so do excuse me ( it's not a birthday hangover either, I don't drink !) & thanks again for your good wishes xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
