Morning...Up stupid early [considering what time I went to bed] again. I'd better go get some vitamin D tablets or something, I'm not getting enough sleep which is evidenced by my napping at the drop of a hat later in the day. Anyway, enough complaining, today is sunny and I have a lunch with two friends then a meet up after that with another couple of friedns and then who knows. I could start on packing everything in boxes neatly, but I will still have to unpack them and wait for my sister to see what duplicates we have and which one of the duplicates is better. She'll be here tomorrow...Time really flew between conception of this plan and execution, I'm getting excited now...I'd also better do a bit of Italian today and see if things will stamp into my forgetful brain...Wish I could take that computer programme on holiday
I'm going to put some music on some usb sticks as well if I can, no harm in screaming the lyrics to foreign songs while scootting down abroad roads

dp1, a new kitten...awww! they're so cute and demanding...Gers, and that's another reason I don't spend time around children, they can be very wearing, although free and feral? ::snort:: NRA, hope the surgery went well...Ruby, congrats to your daughter on her new job. Izzy, glad your nails are still intact!
Rosy, Happy Birthday!! May your day be top filled with fun and exciting victuals and other stuff that you like
And the food festival sounded like fun too. Take care all today...

Morning Everyone
The sun is shining, bedding on the line (including the mattress protector) and another load in. Hopefully it will all dry outside quickly today.
Happy Birthday Rosy, have a great day.
Aw, a new little kitten dp1, good luck!
Well done to your DD Ruby.
Hope the baby is doing well now Snoozer.
Not long now taff.
Mahoosive courgettes at the allotment yesterday, I've made chutney. I needed 2kg of courgette, that was 2 actual courgettes they were that big. There are others of normal size now in the fridge, may have to approach the neighbours again! Also picked loads of green beans that are destined for the freezer, will do them later. I'll go again today as some of the beans have finished so I can take the plants out.
Apart from the allotment I've not a lot planned for today, may cut the grass if it dries out, we had a very heavy dew this morning and it must have been quite cold overnight.
Hope you all have a good weekend. Take care.XX11 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @-taff. So exciting that you'll soon be on your way. Enjoy your lunch out and time with your buddies. Agree with @IzzyBee that limited Italian is need - beer sounds the same in many languages.
Photos of new kitty please @dp1. My DDad and Stepmum found a 4(?) week old kitten in a bag by the road near their house in Cyprus. He is now 8 weeks and thriving but it was touch and go.
Happy birthday to @RosyRed - enjoy your day x
I'm off to FC shortly. Have had two weeks of losses totalling 2.5lbs so fingers-crossed this continues. Will be meeting friends for a coffee after then home to do some washing whilst the weather is good.
We are off to a 50th party tonight which is 70s theme. I purchased a 70s designer (hideous) green and orange dress from the bay of E (think Abigail's Party). Will try to style my hair like Farah Fawcett, otherwise top plait. DH is wearing white flares, white shiny brogues, a gross purple flowery shirt, mullet wig and p0rn star tash. Hoping DD will drop us off as don't really want to ride the bus to the venue...
Have a good day all.

Afternoon all (5.30 here). The forecast was for rain but none appeared. This morning everyone hung around waiting to go to the beach when my SIL came back with the second car. All the children were mostly fine, one little bone on her pedaless push bike, next one up sitting listening to ting-tong music, the boy on the quad, the eldest Aussie doing her Lego with the two English boys bouncing on the ground level trampoline.Eventually they all left. 😀My third nephew is on his way here from his home in Seoul, he'll arrive on Monday and then I'll be happy, all three brothers together again, first time since the funeral of the fourth one in 2016.My tan is coming along slowly, I smother myself in SPF50, long gone are the days of coconut oil or Ambre Solaire.Welcome to the new kitten, great name!
Glad to hear that Nathaniel is fine.Snoozer - I hope that everyone made it to Glasgow in time.Right, the sun is beginning to set so I'm off to the big house for a sundowner.Happy Saturday to all.13 -
Morning folks and thanks TAFF. When do you actually depart on the holiday I am envious of? Before I forget, Happy Birthday ROSY, have a good one! And welcome to the new little kitty DP1. Aw there's nothing cuter than a kitten.
There was the most amazing red sky early doors when the sun was getting up over the hill. It looked as though the moors were alight. Sadly the beautiful sight was overtaken by cloud which is forecast to stay with us most of the day. Still mild though and long may it remain so!
The girlies are still fast asleep but will be to waken up shortly as they have to be at the dance studio mid morning for some rehearsals and will need brekkie first. DD and youngest are off back to the caravan tomorrow till Wednesday and middle one is staying with me as she doesn't want to go. She'll be sleeping here but to-ing and fro-ing through the day so I probably won't see a great deal of her! Youngest resumed her crocheting yesterday and is getting quite a whizz now and prefers it to knitting. So do I as everything grows much quicker and I am talking myself into starting something myself. I still have wool from the old days when my hands were never still.
I've just been getting upset watching the news from the animal charities who are getting inundated with pets their owners can't afford to keep. It's all so sad all these repercussions of the cost of living crisis.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones or just fed up. Take care all xx

Morning
Love hearing your Tales of Oz Gers
Happy Birthday Rosy
Welcome to your new family member DP1
When you off to Italy Taff? Would love to squeeze in your case
Fairly chilled bank holiday planned. No doubt some dull housework will be done and a call with my befriending lady.
Still really warm here but not silly warm and a bit cloudy today.
Its Creamfields festival here this weekend which generally causes chaos for traffic and there is zero chance of getting cabs so I am pretty housebound. Not a bad thing. If the wind is in the right direction I get to enjoy the music too which is fun
Have a good weekend all ...a nice long one

Hello all, thanks taff for the start off, not long now till your Italian expedition ! 👏
Another night of sleeplessness 🥱 and I have been up hours doing nothing productive. I have a long list for today but already I'm dithering as to where to start. I can't seem to think straight this morning and my new meds don't seem to be helping yet.
All the washing was finished and dried yesterday now it only needs sorting into ironing, non ironing and holiday stuff.
Right I'll love you and leave you for today, now I'm going have another cuppa and make a decision.
dp1 awww a new fur baby !
Rosy happy birthday 🎂
Hugs to anyone in need and the MIA's, the poorly ones and the sad or lonely.

Morning all
Lovely bright day here the wm is about to finish and it can be hung on the line today, there is another load to go in after.
I did not get round to making the chutney yeaterday, the invoicing took me most of the day, im hoping I will get quicker at it as the months go by. So I will do the chutney today, I roasted the garlic yesterday so just the apple bit to do, I shall enjoy doing that today.
Tonight we will BBQ got to get as many in as possible before the cold weather sets in, I got us some wagyu burgers to try and some pork belly, I will do some aubergine chunks in the oven as they take a long slow cook and some roasted new potatoes.
