I’ve just got a steam deck and it’s amazing
such a a huge library of games on steam but they all cost like 9.99 each
is there a way to get them cheaper or just play free?
can you share games on a steam account the way some share Netflix?
I know now you can download emulator programs for the switch and vita but that’s a bit naughty

Steam games as often available cheaper through resellers like CDkeys.0

My brother is a way bigger gamer than me, and he has the ability to share a library on Steam, like grimsalve said, so if you just wanna try out a game, maybe you can ask a friend to share at first, before deciding to buy it.0

Reliable key sellers that I use are Gamivo, CDKeys, CJS:CDKeys, Humble and Yuplay, none of which charges hidden fees, though Gamivo has a service charge. They all claim to be cheapest, but you need to shop around , between them , as prices can vary by over £10 in some cases.
I also use GOG and Epic who sell their own downloads, but have good offers. GOG (good old games) specialises in updated old games, but sells modern games, too. It has high discount sales, nearly all the time and has occasions when it gives away a game every few days over a couple of weeks.
Epic gives away one or two free games every Thursday at 4pm and has some fantastic offers like a coupon to get a large percentage off any games order over a fixed price eg £10.99 discount being off the full bill total minus the £10.99 and another offer had a different, higher basic eg £13.99 minimum spend with a massive £10 off any games over £13.99, in that purchase.
Steam has a list of software licenses (US spelling) on your account; this being used if you need a refund from the key seller. Recently, I noted 36 games, bought between April 2022 and this January were listed as just beta testing material, one as a preview and another as a demo (obvious from the listing and printed on the game itself). Steam is the first to give the information, but neither they nor the seller is to blame, as it looks as though the sellers' sources 'try it on', but I have been given full refunds, so won't name the seller from my list above.
