I am fortunate to be on £100k PAYE.  I'm also self-employed as a football referee.  With childcare and tax relief, my referee earnings would effectively be taxed at somewhere between 150% and 200%.

This year I'll get a new bike I don't really need, as it's almost entirely free.  Absurd system.
