I'm on Octopus standard for import (which I imagine is a similar rate to the failed Bulb) and Agile export. I have only recently switched from outgoing fixed at 7.5p /kWhr. I hesitated making the switch as I believed that I would have to have Agile import and I didn't want that (because it would be more expensive) and I thought that the export rate would drop lower than 7.5p when I was trying to export. However, I don't believe the export rate has been below 20p/kWhr for many weeks, let alone near the 7.5p/kWhr.
I don't have a battery but do think that Octopus outgoing Agile is a no brainer at the moment. I do have west facing panels so get enough generation to export during the super red period (4pm-7pm). But the amount I export at that time is only really enough to qualify for the high rates, rather than make any money. The main benefit is that I am getting at least 4 times the rate for every kWhr I export during the day, compared to a few weeks ago (before I switched).
I think it is relatively easy to switch between rates at Octopus (with some constraints on frequency of switching). So that is another reason to go with it. But I don't believe that the rates will drop low enough for me to switch again until at least next summer (if we're lucky).
